AoC is not a PvP mmo! So anyone playing AoC for PvP is a massive PvP nnob, they have no clue what real PvP is.

see here is the dillema, if you really are a true pvper, you will roll on a ffa pvp server, and just kill ppl. easy as that, you dont care for "HIGH END GEAR!" ::gasp::, you are simply there to gank fools, make their lives hell and talk trash to them.

 

plus IGN has a history of mis quoting things, and AoC devs have already said that crafted gear is equal to high end raid gear, and also pve gear is way diff than pvp gear, PvP rank will only be a rank, mostly used to push you up on the que to siege some other guild.

to the OP, I can only assume that you have some need to have the best gear on the server based on the QQing you're doing. Please understand that this game isn't built for you personally, it's built to appeal to millions of customers - some of whom enjoy raiding. Personally I don't ,so I won't raid and therefor i won't get the phat lootz that are in these instances. And i couldn't care less. I'm going to take from the game those parts that are appealing to me - exploring, questing, and Mini-game PVPing.

Hell in the 2 years i've played WOW i've never raided, I don't even have BC - i found what i enjoyed doing and just did that. Now i have a bunch of twinked chars and i get on and BG. (My account runs out on May 17th - talk about timing! booyeah). So while I'm really interested in the fact that you're NOT going to play and the reasons why....errrr no I  really don't care why you're not going to play. Go hit the Darkfall boards and wait for your perfect game, or better yet why don't you develop you're own game that meets your particular needs.

 

You play WoW and your going to go play WoW2/AoC.
