Returning / What Class?

I know it's a generic topic but here's what I am looking at

I am a EQ2 vet - 3 level 80 toons - some in the 70's

I will be playing AoC - but am compelled again to play LOTRO.

I played LOTRO Beta - and played at launch, but not too long after that, I played a few classes up to around level 10 or so.  I am interested in getting up in levels in anticipation of expansion and am behind - so, is there a class that is somewhat easier to get up (mostly be soloing i guess until i get up some)

Thanks

Krazen

Elven Hunters solo pretty quickly. (Elves get +15 agility bonus which helps get you those extra crits early on.) Being limited to medium armour also means that repairs are relatively cheap if you do get defeated. Make sure to learn how to use your traps and such as you will not survive long in a pack of mobs if they all start smacking on your hide. If you want extra cash make sure to train Explorer craft skill to take advantage of all the free wood and ore nodes around. Plus being an explorer means you can boil the hides and make light/medium armour for yourself.

Champions are also a quick study.

Well I think all of the classes are good at this point in time.   Some classes hit their peak earlier than others.  For example a Guardian takes till about 25-30ish before you get enough skills to get fairly powerful.   Hunters and Champions are historically the ones that peak a bit earlier in the game.  I've heard that minstrels have had some offensive additions added that make them a bit more solo friendly, so you might check them out.

Guardian, Loremaster, Burglar are all good, but are a bit more fellowship focused.

Captain is fun, and worth looking into if your willing to be a Human.  Its a fun hybrid class that isnt really effected negatively by being a hybrid.

I've not had trouble on either my Minstrel or Burglar, soloing.. Although I perfer groups! Really all it boils down to is what do you like to do? Than go from there.
