well what do you guys/girls think about thoes 2 games they sound very good both but im really favering the Darkfall but i cant post any commets in the darkfall section bugged crashed or something dont know
so if you heard of Darkfall witch game will you go one more thing count WOW in sounds good to

DnL has more content. Both will be PvP games, but DnL will have a bigger map, more tradeskills, more kinds of transportation and a lot of things more.
Of course I like more the level based games than skill based ones.
Darkfall is a much more hardcore game because of their "anyone can attack anyone" policy. For me, DnL.

From what I have gathered, the fast and dirty version is DnL will be DAoC 2.0, and Darkfall will be Shadowbane 2.0.
I'm mostly curious to see if A) either game actually makes it to release, and if they do, can they do so with out caving in to whiney carebear types, who just don't have enough games catering to their particular brand of warm, cuddly fun.

I like both games but I prefer Dark and Light because it has more competitive variety. This also allows for more variety in roleplay. Darkfall is a straight forward PvP game at a character and clan level much like Shadowbane. For me most of the other differences are not very important. I also like the idea that if you pK outside of an official clan war you are not considered evil with a resultant reputation penalty (of course the cost of this is that you can only attack a character of the opposite alignment in the same level range so nothing is perfect).
Competitive variety examples in Dark and Light:
Dark and Light defines social relationships not only by clan but by also by a land controling feudal system, the Dark and Light alignment, professional guild, and a god faction (a more flexable race alignment system in which certain races have a certain god but where some races like humans get to chose and change their god alignment. Since certain gods don't get along certain characters should not group. The more followers a god has the more powerful it is. Darkfall has a conventional race alignment system).

So if you base yourself or your clan in some barony, county, and kingdom you will want to see your candidate elected as leader of those feudal regions and promote its settlement, its defensive strength and its economic vitality relative to other regions of the same alignment. Or maybe you are an evil character working for the other side in which case you do the opposite (but the high nobles can put out bounties on the evil characters once discovered). Smart nobles will have events and contests to keep the peasants happy.
2. Of course you want to see your clan be strong and prosperous. To do this you will have to buy (possibly) or conquer fortresses from the opposite alignment. You may do this one your own away from civilization hoping your remoteness protects you or you may coordinate with other clans of your alignment and the nobility to take and keep your land.
3. You want to see your god strong with lots of followers.
4. Not much is known about how the professional guilds will work.
Anyway, something is the game will always need to be done and can be done no matter how much time you have for a gaming session.
I also like the idea that combat changes as you enter different kingdoms (they differ by level) due to a different mix of available skills like mounts and flying mounts.
I really don't see much similarity between DAOC and Dark and Light beyond realm vs realm combat. In Dark and Light you and your clan get to take the land and reap the rewards of its resouces, trade, and strategic position. In DOAC realm vs realm combat has no real benefit for the clan.
Another thing I like about Dark and Light is its promise of mobile large scale strategic battles. Darkfall clan PvP will be centered around city seiges much like shadowbane. In contrast clan and alignment PvP in Dark and Light will be more varied and dispersed since it is all about land control with mana fountain influence ultimately determining that control. This is why Dark and Light has various land and air mounts (not all of which can be used in attacking) to aid in mobility and maneuver.
Also Dark and Light commanders will have special maps to aid in commnand and control over a large diverse terrain. Kill the commanders and the enemy command and control will be hurt.
