Yes, that means that more casual legitimate players can more easily purchase those goods in the AH. BUT it also means that when a legitimate player earns those goods as they were intended to be earned in the game, they can't sell them for anywhere close to what they otherwise could because the botters have already flooded the market. The botters have -artificially- imbalanced the laws of supply and demand and a direct result is an imbalance in the in-game economy.
So instead of selling stacks of ore, or leather, or potions, or pieces of gear for high prices in order to pay some of the high prices from merchants for things like epic flying mounts, those legitimate players are now farming for -much- longer to earn the same money. Do you think they feel as though they have been helped?

Botters are not some sort of community service. They take up character slots on a server. Have you ever had to wait in a queue? Wait for a arena match to open? See a money spot camped? You can thank the botters for helping congest that.
Beyond that the reason items are so expensive currently is because the botters are flooding the market with gold. Yes read that again! The botters are driving prices up. When you, the average player, complete a quest or anything where the game awards you money, lets say 1 gold, it is worth less. Why? Because botters are pumping out more cash than you can. Your 1 gold will buy you less, because the botters are pouring money into the market. Think about that for a minute before you go off praising the cheaters.
Eaxtly, and we have told the developers this many times, yet they said they have no plans what so ever to implement this. Also this game is a totttaaallll pointless grind! It has no rewards what so ever, not to mention the massive imballances with classes.
Just hitup youtube for "Epic 5 part 2 chaos magician pvp" and you will see why a chaos magician can solo a party of 8 players 5 levels higher than him.
I'll do it on Cons and Pros way - to make it simpler and more clear.
Pros:
- Fair Graphics
- Nice pet system
- Once a great Community, slowly vanquishing due to... that later in Cons lol
Cons:
- Graphica are fair but they are the main reason of lag, the textures are badly spread and game basicly is build with empty blocks on which texture was placed... That creates too much data to load. For example if the blocks were filled not empty, game wouldn't force us to load what's happening behind the wall.
- Once nice pet system turned to be a Dumbass Pet system... skilling pets now in epic5 doesn't require brain what so ever - that totally crossed out the possibility of making a build for pet... they are like templates.
- Players due to lack of distributing atributes (str/vit etc) and due to fact you can have all skills from the skill tree when you are 100+ also do not have any possibility of creating builds... they are like templates.
- Company responsible for Development cares only about their players - that is korean ones.
- Company responsible for Distributing cares only for money... but the bad way, which is no respect for customers what so ever.
- Players are ignored and muted on official Rappelz US forum for saying what they think about this situation - any attempt of criticism towards Gala.Net is marked Trolling and ends with Ban.
- You can cry on forum, yet you can't criticise... still crying doesn't help a bit because they ignore everyone.
- They ignore all creativity which is NOT a FREE COMMERCIAL - for example - on last GM Event on which people had to make some kind of work (picture, movie, w/e) about Christmas and Rappelz, the ones winning were deeply looking like Rappelz Commercial and as such they were recognized by my friends from Marketing Business lol
Also they added a Poll from one of MMO services, on Official Forum asking to vote on Rappelz... all people who said what they think about idea of Voting there or about other games taking part in that Poll, were marked Trolls...
- If you will remove Pet Cards from Drop List you will notice that Rappelz has no item content at all. Skill Cards and Gear are a joke... even tho they fill up the Drop List, the general economy is based on Return and Ressurection Scrolls which you get in TONS and sell to NPC to get gold.
- R6 drop rate is too low and take correction on that there is no SPECIAL gear... so plain rank 6 gear without any bonus. As an example of bonus lets take items based on Diablo 2 gradation: normal, magical, rare, unique. All items in rappelz are NORMAL ones, Except for Ancient items, which you can call Magical - because thats the lvl of bonus they add.
- If you don't use Item Mall (aka CS) or you don't buy rupees from Gold Farmers you have a low chance of getting anything.
- Gameplay is heavly imbalanced. In most Item Mall based MMOs item mall creates difference between Users and Nonusers YET it's not that absurdal like in Rappelz. If you will spend 30 dollars on CS you can buy High LvL Pet and solo your way up to rank 4 without any problem in a month or less, while as a nonCS user that will take you several months.
- This game IS POINTLESS after you reach lvl 120, even tho lvl 170 or 190 is the max lvl atm. After lvl 120 you turn from Grind to Pointless Grind - look at point about R6 drops.
- Community at the moment is divided into two groups: Heavy CS abuser Kids - people who started gaming at the beg of Epic 5 - who are lvling fast and start to notice game is potless, and Old Players - who already know it's pointless yet they are stupid enough to still hope something will change (like me)...
I could really list more of Cons...
- Low LvL unfriendly -> there are no low lvls left, just alts with High LvL Pets who barely party with fresh low lvls
- Drop Rate unfriendly -> they changed drop system which makes getting Pets (the only thing actually worth getting as a drop) almost impossible, especially the rarer pets like Hawkmen or Salamanders which just WON'T drop from monsters lower then lvl 100 or 110 (dunno didnt bother to farm).
Basicly this game is ruined and if you ever would like to play it... don't... not worth your time... let it die and teach those people who brought it to this point that they were wrong.
Oh yes and last CON:
- ALL and I mea ALL future content adds are like Windows Patches... they don't really fix anything nor change anything they are just added to buy this game some time before Epic Collapse.
Take it from someone who stopped lvling on lvl 116 week before Epic5 started and haven't got a lvl since then because this game is still empty and still won't change a bit.

The main reason why this game is losing players is because the way Gpotato has decided to run the game.
Constantly making up excuses for their shortcomings in coming up with events and in-game support while blaming the developers for the flaws of the game.
Played the korean version a while back and the drop rates of items/pet cards/etc was much better compared to the US version.
Rules were implemented in such ways where they are done to remedy problems in the short term (band-aid solutions)
Gpotato has been showing a clear cut biased preference towards heavy cash shop players as well. (understandable but is going overboard) by looking towards issues that only concern those players.
In the end, the game is run in such a way where drop rates are tweaked to such a low rate (game wide suspicion) making it hardly enjoyable at higher levels as the rich gets richer and the poor stay in the slums unless you're in the pantera server where some pker eventually makes a mistake of dying and dropping their equipments.
Most of all, is the lack of information being supplied by anyone from Gpotato on questions about the game by only giving vague answers which are ambiguous leaving veteran players thinking that GMs/company that run the game knows nothing about the game other than to buy time which.. after 2 years of playing the game.... is slowly running out of....

did i mention the game becomes a grindfest in purpose AT EVERY LEVEL. Mobs give you 1-30(1-300exp) 40-50(1100~) 60-70 (2000~, takes about 3-5m xp to level) now, here is the fun part, 70-80(4000~5000 w/SS) (5-7m exp to lv) 80-100 (6000-7000 w/SS) (7-15m exp to level) 100-120 (10000-15000~ w/SS) (15-40m to lv) 120+ (if you are stil playing this game you need a life)
as far as i know, rappelz is in the past unless they hire chuck norris or an asian guy with an useful mind cause the people at potato are wack.
and just to make sure this gets out, an epic for these retards is: 2 pets (You need to be 120+ to get and the drop rate is 0.000000000000000001%) 1 mount (120+, You need to get an HV pass -cash shop-) a island in the middle of nowhere(110+ to fight) and they learned how to translate "Retarded" from korean to english.
This game is ok, but there are already way to many F2P games that are as good or better than it. Its past its prime and only going downhill. The days of Kill X number of Y mob are dying out.
This game is by far one of the most frustating out there. The game has the potential to be a great game, however the Dev and g-potato have totatly screwed this game over. What is even worse is that the players keep asking to be lied to and to be screwed over. I have never in my life seen so many normal ppl thank the Gm's for their lies and un creativeness in the game. I was a great fan of this game in Epic 3. Now that was somethin to play. A pet system so great I just couldn't stop playing. Suddenly, the launch of E4 destroyed my class (Spellsinger) and gave me some crappy choices, like only one buf/skill for pet and I to share. Pet skills suddenly became stupid and half of those didn't work at all. The grind became boring once you realised that, with each new patch the chances of finding a new pet were smaller and smaller and smaller, so the endgame content became a pure grind with nothing else to do. Farming in this game became hell (same as before, but now 300X worse). I tried E5 and all I can say is:

I didn't even get out of the tutorial area, before I was thinking how boring it was. And that's bad coming from me, because its very easy for me to like a game in the beginning. All of its technical difficulties aside, there was just nothing about it that appealed to me.
I only played this game a few weeks (and that was awhile ago) but what really stuck out to me is that they don't really seem to care about fixing their game at all.
Gold Spamming bots are EVERYWHERE, screaming about their website every second in local chat. It's been awhile, but I remember that I could find no good way to ignore them. You could put a spamming bot on ignore and you could still see them in local chat! I should be able to right-click their name in the chat windows and press ignore, then not hear them anymore from any chat channel.
For a free game that depends on selling goods for real life $$$ it hardly has anything useful to buy. When I first started playing I thought the lack of character customization (only 3 hairstyles and 2 colors per class) was because you had to buy different hairstyles, colors, and what not. I was wrong, what you see is what you get forever. There is no option to buy a new look, or even change your existing look to some other limited choice. Every class in this game is a clone of each other. A chess set has more variety.
Also, the game is designed to rip you off. The game tells you how to upgrade your weapons and armor with item cubes (or something like that), but does not tell you that it will eventually break your item. Oh, did your item break? The item store can fix that for $35! Whoa! No thank you!
what keeping people from playing is the poor optimization of the game. very laggy and load very tremensously long. you must have lots and lots of ram. 512mb ram is a nightmare, do not bothe rplaying if you have 512mb or even 1gig.
from 512mb to 1.5gig you will feel improve a bit but still laggy especially in horizon town. from 1.5gig to 3gig.... you are feeling huge smoothness..... running throughhorizon town is no slide show. from 3gig to 8gig on 64bit os.... you are unstoppable! no lagg holds you back. exept low frame rate if you have a cheap card. im talking about when in max setting.
graphic is alot better than rohan. the texture is just nice and sharp.
silkroad still #1 free2play in my opinion.... if you can login.

However, I don't really like endless grind, especially since I'm more of a casual player. I'm excited by the different classes offered and the pet system looks really robust. Ha...haha...as a previous R5 Player who was part of one of the best clans in Bahamut...i can tell you you'll be done about half way through 150...100..trust me...After level 80( AKA R4), unless you join a really good, active and fun clan, this game will be dead to you in a matter of days, maybe weeks. I quit when i was about 80ish. I returned just to get to R5, because about half way through the game, thats what i set my self to do, reach level 100. After that, i rarely look at the forums maybe every month or two and i unistalled the game. The spark is this game is big but it burns out really fast. This is also a game that will have you coming back and forth...ALSO! Tip...the economy of this game live on TWO THINGS: LUCK and REAL WORLD MONEY. So, if you plan to be competitive in any form of PvP, be prepared to empty your wallet.

Main Drawbacks of Rappelz:
- Cash Shop just breaks the current game mechanics.
-The client and server are in dire need of optimization. Lag is bad for 90% of the players
- Level based evasion ( breaks any chance at decent PvP )
- 1 update a year to fix bugs ( Unless it has the potential to make the publisher's lose money )
Good Points:
- Best pet system available
- Fairly decent balance between the classes
This game needs a better publisher, and the devs need a kick in ass to come out with quicker updates.

did i mention the game becomes a grindfest in purpose AT EVERY LEVEL. Mobs give you 1-30(1-300exp) 40-50(1100~) 60-70 (2000~, takes about 3-5m xp to level) now, here is the fun part, 70-80(4000~5000 w/SS) (5-7m exp to lv) 80-100 (6000-7000 w/SS) (7-15m exp to level) 100-120 (10000-15000~ w/SS) (15-40m to lv) 120+ (if you are stil playing this game you need a life)
as far as i know, rappelz is in the past unless they hire chuck norris or an asian guy with an useful mind cause the people at potato are wack.
and just to make sure this gets out, an epic for these retards is: 2 pets (You need to be 120+ to get and the drop rate is 0.000000000000000001%) 1 mount (120+, You need to get an HV pass -cash shop-) a island in the middle of nowhere(110+ to fight) and they learned how to translate "Retarded" from korean to english.
This game is ok, but there are already way to many F2P games that are as good or better than it. Its past its prime and only going downhill. The days of Kill X number of Y mob are dying out.
This game is by far one of the most frustating out there. The game has the potential to be a great game, however the Dev and g-potato have totatly screwed this game over. What is even worse is that the players keep asking to be lied to and to be screwed over. I have never in my life seen so many normal ppl thank the Gm's for their lies and un creativeness in the game. For those still playing this game I have to wonder if u like walking around with the "Kick Me" sign on your back.
I was a great fan of this game in Epic 3. Now that was somethin to play. A pet system so great I just couldn't stop playing. Suddenly, the launch of E4 destroyed my class (Spellsinger) and gave me some crappy choices, like only one buf/skill for pet and I to share. Pet skills suddenly became stupid and half of those didn't work at all. The grind became boring once you realised that, with each new patch the chances of finding a new pet were smaller and smaller and smaller, so the endgame content became a pure grind with nothing else to do. Farming in this game became hell (same as before, but now 300X worse). I tried E5 and all I can say is:

I didn't even get out of the tutorial area, before I was thinking how boring it was. And that's bad coming from me, because its very easy for me to like a game in the beginning. All of its technical difficulties aside, there was just nothing about it that appealed to me.
I only played this game a few weeks (and that was awhile ago) but what really stuck out to me is that they don't really seem to care about fixing their game at all.
Gold Spamming bots are EVERYWHERE, screaming about their website every second in local chat. It's been awhile, but I remember that I could find no good way to ignore them. You could put a spamming bot on ignore and you could still see them in local chat! I should be able to right-click their name in the chat windows and press ignore, then not hear them anymore from any chat channel.
For a free game that depends on selling goods for real life $$$ it hardly has anything useful to buy. When I first started playing I thought the lack of character customization (only 3 hairstyles and 2 colors per class) was because you had to buy different hairstyles, colors, and what not. I was wrong, what you see is what you get forever. There is no option to buy a new look, or even change your existing look to some other limited choice. Every class in this game is a clone of each other. A chess set has more variety.
Also, the game is designed to rip you off. The game tells you how to upgrade your weapons and armor with item cubes (or something like that), but does not tell you that it will eventually break your item. Oh, did your item break? The item store can fix that for $35! Whoa! No thank you!

what keeping people from playing is the poor optimization of the game. very laggy and load very tremensously long. you must have lots and lots of ram. 512mb ram is a nightmare, do not bothe rplaying if you have 512mb or even 1gig.
from 512mb to 1.5gig you will feel improve a bit but still laggy especially in horizon town. from 1.5gig to 3gig.... you are feeling huge smoothness..... running throughhorizon town is no slide show. from 3gig to 8gig on 64bit os.... you are unstoppable! no lagg holds you back. exept low frame rate if you have a cheap card. im talking about when in max setting.
graphic is alot better than rohan. the texture is just nice and sharp.
silkroad still #1 free2play in my opinion.... if you can login.

Hey all, I've been reading about various free-to-play mmo's online and Rappelz looks like an interesting one to try. However, I don't really like endless grind, especially since I'm more of a casual player. I'm excited by the different classes offered and the pet system looks really robust. I guess my main question is, would it take me forever to progress in the game? How hard is it to figure out? Also, are the graphics decent? I just got a new computer and want to look at pretty games

Grind does seem bad, at the moment im lvl 25 and all ive been doing is grinding and i barely see any other players around me so i checked up the forums and seem like most of the people are high lvls so yeh that kinda sucks and on the graphics side, there legit, there not ugly but they arent Aion or age of conan either.
Ha...haha...as a previous R5 Player who was part of one of the best clans in Bahamut...i can tell you you'll be done about half way through 150...100..trust me...After level 80( AKA R4), unless you join a really good, active and fun clan, this game will be dead to you in a matter of days, maybe weeks. I quit when i was about 80ish. I returned just to get to R5, because about half way through the game, thats what i set my self to do, reach level 100. After that, i rarely look at the forums maybe every month or two and i unistalled the game. The spark is this game is big but it burns out really fast. This is also a game that will have you coming back and forth...ALSO! Tip...the economy of this game live on TWO THINGS: LUCK and REAL WORLD MONEY. So, if you plan to be competitive in any form of PvP, be prepared to empty your wallet.
