Customer Service is the worst I have ever seen

datoudatou Member Posts: 20

There are many bugged quests.  I am stuck in a bugged quest that has a 20 page thread on the forum.  There has been no response from funcom.  I petitioned online to have the problem looked into.  Thirty hours later, I speak to an official online that tells me she will forward my issue to a GM who should be able to fix my problem whether or not I am online.  At 6am, while I was not on, GM comes online and removes me from petition list.  Now, if I want to solve the problem, I will  have to begin the process again from the beginning.  The game shows some promise, but right now, customer service is horrible!!!!!

Worst you have ever seen?  You must have never played World of Warcraft...is this your first MMO?

I did not play WoW at start; I played Everquest 2 at the time .  But I have been playing MMO's for a long time, way before WoW came out.  Although not an MMO,  I remember Ultima 3 when it was new, so I have been playing PC games for a looong time.  I have played many, many MMOs.  Funcom is way up there with bad customer support right now.

The game launched less than a week ago. Of course the customer service is not going to be functioning the way they should be, you're not the only one with problems in the game. At launch, the number of bugs in any game are huge. And with that, they're going to have a huge number of people to cater to.

Just calm down. They are working on the issues, like I said, it's launch. They have more than enough to deal with when it comes to minor or major bugs.

You are judging way to quickly, as the previous posters said, its an early launch. It is a problem that plights any game at the start, there are more players than GMs, and the players dont have access to web resources because none have been created yet. I'd bet 50% of the GM help requests are "I cant find this dude in this quest", even though the "dude" is clearly marked on the mini-map.

http://reviewmmo.blogspot.com Where I review any and all MMO's. Takes more then fancy graphics to impress me.

are you retarded? Look, I love AoC, and I rated it a 9.8, but you cannot say that WoW's customer service suck. Blizzard always replies within a week, and a GM contacts you within the MAXIMUM of two hours.

    Please go away

The game is 5 days old, if you cannot understand that a mmo launch is not goiing to be perfect, you should go play something else.   You think your the only one having bugs ?

Sorry folks.  This is what happens when you contract out your customer service department.  Unfortunately, most MMOG companies do this today.  The contract company handles what it can, and what it cannot, they feed back to Funcom to be worked who will in turn feed it back to the customer service company who will take care of you.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."
