Sounds interesting.

    Well, that sound much more interesting than AOC. A modern time MMORPG? That's something new. Can't wait to hear more.

    I couldn't agree more, it is a much needed change. Hellgate London tried, but well we know what that turned out like. I'm looking forward to it.

    So far I've seen only Fantasy, Historic or Sci-fi MMORPGs. This could be the first well-known MMORPG to u

    se the present time and real places.

    You know, it wouldn't be half bad, an MMO where you play as some policeman, or a US marine, or just an insane catholic priest!

    I still have a chip on my shoulder about AO, but even with that Funcom has been learning over the years. They managed to make a very successful and stable launch with AoC, now granted its instance and that is what turned me off, but maybe once again Funcom will learn from this and take this knowledge into this new mmo.

    I really do hope they make it appealing and an open world. Brings me joy to hear such news.

    Yep agreed. You can only hope they will learn from it. I think they will honestly. I too look at this game as a future sub. If it offers something cool i want a MMO with no fantasy along with my WAR :)

    im waiting for more on this game for a couple of months now :p always sounded better to me then aoc..

    MMOs currently playing: -
    About to play: Lord of the Rings Online
    Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)

    The info isnt exactaly new, been around for some time. The magazine just made it more public, i guess :p

    Pretty much ya. I remember darkdaysarecoming.com sometime ago but other then a counter I didn't know what the hell it was for or how I found it lol. Sheds more light on it at least and I can't wait to hear about the combat next month, hopefully something innovative.

    it looks pretty awesome. It'll be interesting what'll lead the charge on more modern MMOs since quite a few are in the pipeline now.



    This though seems like a natural fit for a showdown with CCP/White-Wolf's supposed MMO. Maybe this'll even goad some information out of CCP/White-Wolf.

      While reading this post, this game some how reminded me of Thundar the Barbarian.  Yup, I can see this game turn into this if they add AOC content to it.

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game

    Yes that's another MMO I'm interested in is what CCP/White Wolf cooks up, I'm sure it will be godlike if White Wolf gets the ultimate say and direction.

    That said I don't think it is their intention to compete, cause really Funcom always went their own way. I mean AO was its own thing altogether. Of coarse the market they are competing for but I don't think it is product by product per say.
