For whatever reason people are ignoring the fact that Fallen Earth is coming out relatively soon, and it has a skill-based system with real-time combat, and an open and non-instance world.

It will be one of few actual skill-based games out.  Earthrise hasn't shown us anything yet, Darkfall is an investment scam, and Mortal Online is too new to really guage.

At the moment, as far as people who claim to want more "Sandboxy" games, they have no excuse to overlook Fallen Earth.  It has deep crafting, is skill-based, and is non-instanced.

i look forward to laughing at all the aion clowns sitting in the same boat the AOC clowns are sitting in right now.

and whats worst, you left out the 1 game that MIGHT just offer us something new/fresh/worth giving a crap about (because no online-game to come put in the past 5 years has been interesting enough to CARE about your character).

how about you make a thread more interesting than what is on these boards now. ATM alot of us are waiting and some people would like to know what we are waiting for. And were only saying what were waiting for. Were not bragging about the game and what its going to have. Move Along.

While I agree that Aion is going to suck, I disagree with your attitude on this...

Games are hyped to build communities, without communities there is no need for MMO games.  Well Online does look nice.

you may as well be waiting for jesus to come back. it has NOTHING to do with community, why not do something CONSTRUCTIVE (sure even as a group). i got it! why not start a group and go "clean up" all the irrelevant web pages from 5+ years ago that serve absolutely no purpose. much like what you do right now with all the speculation on what will or will not be but in the FUTURE.

i mean seriously, just because you read about it, and throw possibilities out there that does not mean ANY of it will be as expected/hoped. go clean up the hype and speculation over "WISH" instead (anyone remember that?!), and when you get done with that go clean up the useless info about what windows 98/me/xp/2000 will mean for computer users.

in 300,000,000,000,000 years the universe will have expanded so far that the suns will have burned out and there will not be enough gravity to even hold atoms together, reguardless of what WE as a species do this is the ultimate end. every day we live is a gift, a chance occurance of the greatest magnitude. yet some people "wait" and try to gain some advantage in games that may never even come out. not simply living, but instead waiting to live.

Er yeah, I was wondering the same thing. 

What looks promising to me?  I'm keeping a wary eye on WAR, willing to give most any other game a fair shot if they'll only deliver a substantially completed game. (yes, I know, MMO's are never complete, but you know what I mean.)

Knowing about a game before it launches is good.....since you can get into beta?

Plus talking about smaller games is good it helps out independent game companies alot since they cant pay Mr. T to make ads.
