I tried this once before and thought it was..wierd..but I dont think I gave it a fair chance because a lot of people say its good. Can somone give me the pros and cons of FlyFF? One problem I hear is that the world is really small, is that true? If somone can fill me in, that would be great.

Well, I don't think the world is small. But if it is to you, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be more islands once it gets some updates. But anyways, heres some pros and cons.

    Pros:

    - PvP is awesome in this game. Guild sieges/wars, arena with alot of people is fun, or you can just duel in town.

    - Gameplay is just like WoW and other games.

    - Weapons look pretty cool.

    - The party and guild system is awesome.

    - Once you get to level 20, you can fly! You can choose a board or broom.

    - While you're in the air, you can attack flying monsters and raise your flying level.

    - Alot of space in the bank.

    - Pets that can help you fight and loot your stuff up automaticlly.

    - Game gets even more fun once you get to level 15 and get your job.

    - You can open up a store for free, unlike MapleStory you have to pay real money to open one.

    - Skills look cool.

    - You can set up a combo with your skills.

    Cons:

    - Gets a bit grindy if you solo.

    - Most people that are level 30 or lower, have problems with grammar and spelling. For example, "cna i hav som mony" Damn, it gets annoying sometimes... x_x

Well, thats all the stuff I can think of right now, just give it another chance and get your class/job. It gets more fun.

I might play. I live in the US and when I try to register, it says it cant offer service to people in my area. Can anyone help with this?

Same thing happened to me. But after like a few days or it was a week Idk, but anyways, I decided to try again and it worked. o.O It should allow you to register because Gpotato is for Americians that want to try out there games. Try again later today maybe. Or registering at a friend's house might work.

Btw, if you already tried it, don't you already have an account?

I played this game like 2 years ago, i dont know what changes have been placed, but from what i heard they weren't good. The game is full of hormone raging kids and the skill system is messed up still? When i played it, I thought it was fun, but excessive grind fest also, thats why i quit.

flyff is good, like 5 years ago. but now, just look for better MMORPGs out there.

Now that version 12 is out, let's see how Flyff measures up.

    - PvP ... you've gotta be kidding me. With the addition of the weapon/shield piercing system, Flyff is now heavily skewed in favour of those who use the Cash Shop, as well as 1-handed weapon users. Simply because if you wield a 2-h weapon, both your hands are tied... on the other hand a 1-h weapon wielder will typically have ANOTHER weapon (or a shield) in the other hand which can also be pierced, giving them TWICE the upgrading capacity. Basically the devs (Aeonsoft) screwed over half the Flyff classes while overpowering the other half, which were already over-represented in PvP in the first place. If you're looking for "balanced" PvP, forget it.

Guild sieges, war... HAW, don't make me laugh. Only the uber top guilds have enough money to compete, and you can bet all of their members will be decked up the wazoo with cash-shop stuff. If, like the majority, you don't plan on wasting thousands of real life dollars "upgrading" some pixels, you'll never be part of a siege. Best you can hope for are random guild duels with other normal players. Also, the arena is one giant gankfest where people randomly run in, stab someone, and run out or get stabbed before they can. If that kind of PvP is your idea of fun, go right ahead. On the other hand, if you're looking for PvP of substances, with ranks, ladders, tournaments etc... look elsewhere.

    - Partying ... still the same "1 partner, everyone else stay out of range" crap. If you have friends, you'll only be able to party with 1 person at a time, because having more nearby will decrease your exp. Basically, Flyff forces you to choose between your friends.

    - Flying ... still nothing to do. Flying mobs are a joke, flying combat is a waste of time, and 12 versions into the game, flying exp / level STILL does a big fat nothing.

    - - - - - - - -

The only thing about Flyff, after playing a bunch of other MMOs, is that the grind is actually fairly fast until 2nd job (level 60). In most other games getting to 30+ already takes quite a bit of time, whereas in Flyff the levels fly by and only start slowing down around 50ish. I'm talking about time for working adults who have the odd 1-2 hours a day for gaming... not school kids who have nothing to do and can waste all day on this game.

TL;DR summary: Flyff is getting stale, and with each update is getting more geared towards spending on improving your gear through using Cash Shop items. Content-wise it ran dry a long while ago... I'd say around version 6-7.

Don't kid yourself: all the "new" updates, like pets and jewelry upgrading... they all require a heavy investment in the cash shop (i.e. protect scrolls). I've raised plenty of pets, they were all epic fail 1/1/1/1 stat pets, you're practically forced to buy the Cash Shop item scroll that allows you to reroll it's stats in order to get a decent stat pet. Piercing, upgrading... hah! If you don't use protect scrolls you're just begging to have your item destroyed. And guess what? The typical upgraded item has been measured to cost around USD$300 worth' of protect scrolls... don't believe me, read the official forums for yourselves.

Basically, if you're a freeloader gamer, don't play Flyff. You'll never be able to compete with the uber +10 equipment, heavily pierced CS hoars. And even if you're willing to burn money, at Flyff's uber epic fail success rate (it's normal to burn like 30+ attempts per ++) be prepared to spend like there's no tomorrow. In fact, the Cash Shop makes them so much more money than flat-out $15 subscription per month games do.

Okay yes this game is a Grinder and the v12 has had its nerfing in the Pvp system for us 2h Wielders, but mostly peoples arent into Pvp this game is good until you hit the 50's then you get to the hard bit the 10 lvls to 60 usually you will find people asking for plvls of other high lvl (lvl 60-69 beeing asked) because they cant handle the frustration of lvling, i have 1 lvl 106 and i can honest say you dont need to use real life money, just grind a loot its not that hard to get a few Mills took me 1 hour grind for 1 Mill, and CS items can be bought from other players, good equips to, i can honestly say the fun in this game begins from 15-45 and 60-75 once you hit 80 this game goes int o "Your Screwed" mode why? because now you can go take the monsters everyone fears (or loves) but honestly this game is one of the best out there played it for 4 years still miss v6-7 but its okay now for playing even though the Economy is screwed but we will climb up the ladder and try again ^_^
