How about ya read the forums before ya make posts....

Some of us are playing it right now!  huxley.co.kr

Webzen isnt going to host it for usa, nhn inc is. So I doubt they will ever put usa info on the webzen site.

i guess you did have a right to accuse me of not doing atleast the bare minimum of research before posting this, but sadly I DID look at the forums! lol i didnt see anything about webzen not hosting it was my understanding that they were going to this whole time...yeah i know some people are playing the korean version, but ive had my share of foreign games and atm its not really worth it to me :/

(edit) oh and sry i shouldve added this game will never come out....ever in the usa! :P

IRVINE, CALIF. – June 2, 2008 –It’s official.  NHN USA, a subsidiary of NHN (KOSDAQ:035420), the largest Korean Internet company, announced today that it has secured the rights to publish the long-awaited Huxley in North America and Western Europe. Bringing online gamers everywhere closer to the chance to exercise their fragging skills against thousands of other players in the first twitch-action massively multiplayer online first-person shooting (FPS) game Huxley, the online shooter is slated to arrive on the PC via ijji.com in late 2008.

The game itself is mostly in english, the ui is not. So i doubt it will be very hard to translate it, since it was designed to be sold in the usa. Webzen also uses a webstarter program like ijji.com does.

watch this VIDEO  at 2:00 there will be a tour of a city all the buildings are in english.

(ignoring the ui and names find one non english word)

Next time try asking when it will come out, you will get nicer replies.

it's quite upsetting to have to dig through forums for information on a game that was supposed to be released in the US a year ago, but they obviously don't find it important enough to say anything...although for some reason they did decide it was important to keep up to date....ugh wait you know what nevermind your not going to see my point although i do see yours. thanks for the information.

If people would stop making its never coming out posts important threads would be on top.....(its still on the front page though)

They do press releases for the game all the time, maybe you should blame the game sites for not publishing them. Cause even forbes had an article about it. The publisher does advertising so since they just got a publisher im pretty sure they will have information about it soon enough.

  • MarLMarL Member UncommonPosts: 606

This isnt the sun forums.... nobody cares about that crappy game

Nobody in the world buys the rights to publish a finished game (yes its finished im playing it) and then doesnt  release it......

You've never heard of games getting delayed?...It happens all the time. Would you rather it be released in the sorry state Age of Conan is in of get delayed and released as a complete product? I know I'd choose the latter.

Same. But hey, at least one of Webzen's titles (outside of MU) will see the light of day outside of the east. o/

Awesome.... Wonderful.... Now what about the 360 version???!!?! >.< Jeez. The 360 was made for playing FPS and an MMOFPS is perfect for it, and they're going to cancel it? *will kill*

  • Nerf09Nerf09 Member CommonPosts: 2,953

Everyone in WWIIONLINE forums and PLANETSIDE forums were saying Huxley was going to be the best thing since sliced bread.

PCs were made for FPS games. Consoles suck at it.

You'll be doing your same reputation grind in WoW for the 100th time, while singing Over the Rainbow and enjoying a nice chat about someone's grandchildren. =(

I beg to differ, as much as I would like to agree. Do your PC and PC games support 4 player split screens for online and offline multiplayer? Didn't think so. Do you feel like carrying your updated hardcore desktop everywhere you feel like doing some lan crap? Didn't think so.

I'm sure there is a program out there that some punk made for the hell of it that would actually split your little 10inch monitor screen into 4 squares, while a hack to play more players in your bf2. Yeh... I'd love to go through that trouble.

    Ryman ,

    Are you serious right now?

PC INVENTED FPS for gods sake. Quake, Counter-strike, Unreal Tournement... any of these FPS's ring a bell to you?

It is a FACT that mouse+keyboard controls in a FPS are more accurate, which is why the PS3 is including it in it's new FPS games.

Even a noob on mouse+keyboard can melt the face off any controller carrying wannabe.

Anyway it just boggles my mind that Xbox can drop Halo (which is no doubt a nice FPS) and now all of a sudden the entire FPS genre has been reinvented and consoles rule the FPS circuit. Seriously?

Um who really cares about split screens? Last I checked REAL fps players wouldn't share their frag space with 3 other idiots. REAL FPS players use that entire screen to own your face.

If I want to play with 3 other people I use a router and tell them to bring their own shit over to the house. TRUE PC gamers don't worry about how heavy their box is, they just pick that shit up take it to a LAN and own face.

So get outta here with your split screen my Xbox rules the day garbage. PC owns FPS genre and always will. PC > Console.

PS. No gamer uses a 10inch monitor. If they are they have no business playing games on a PC. Mine is 32inch and I won't split it 4 ways.

I just want a linked 360-PC version, so I can spank all the console kiddies who think you can play FPS games with a controller.  Seriously, they've had the technical capacity for a while, eventually someone is going to do this, and then we're going to frag the ever loving hell out of them.

    WOLFENSTEIN started it all :D.

Yes LANS are done a lot and players do move there whole PC rig. There is also gaming centers that you can arrange a LAN war with friends, you don't always have to move your big rig around. The world gaming championships that have been on for a few years now involved games like UT99/Quake/Counterstrike and were of course all played on PC's not consoles lol.The best setup for gaming in a FPS is a mouse keyboard, something consoles uitilize nowadays but at one time they were just controllers, crappy for gaming.

    Date : 2008-05-19
SEOUL – May 19, 2008 – Global online entertainment company WEBZEN Inc. (www.webzen.com) announced today that it has executed a licensing agreement for North America and Europe with NHN USA (www.nhnusainc.com) for Huxley¢â, the next-generation MMOFPS game.
In a landmark deal worth a total of $3 million with an advance and a minimum guarantee, NHN USA will be bringing Webzen¡¯s highly-anticipated Huxley to North American and western European markets in 16 countries, including U.S., Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom and France.
The companies plan on leveraging Webzen¡¯s outstanding development capabilities and NHN USA¡¯s significant game publishing experience to create synergy in providing the optimal Huxley experience in the overseas markets.
¡°We are extremely excited about working with NHN USA, a company that has had phenomenal successes with publishing numerous games, as we enter the North American and European markets,¡± said Nam-Ju Kim, chief executive officer of Webzen, Inc. ¡°And we¡¯ll continue to refine Huxley even further to exceed the high expectation of gamers in North America and Europe.¡±
