Poll: Have you played WAR?

I am curious as to how many posters here have had an opportunity to actually play WAR by this point, whether it has been at a convention for a mere 15 minutes or so,  or as part of the beta program.

So, have you?

Nope, but will come OB!  There are never any events within a few hundred miles of me so the chances of ever getting to play it early or get into CB are always nil...  I'm always stuck with the off-chance of a lucky selection from the pool of beta apps!

Tis ok though, as I'm busy building and maintaining a guild before launch of an MMO for once!

Yep, Toronto games day and friends beta account.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

    Indeed.

I am rather surprised that almost half of all respondents have played WAR already. I figured that at best it would be 33% or so.

There wasn't a Gamesday in Boston. I live 20 min away, and I haven't heard of one, and I just did a google search, and a search on GW's website, and nothing came up.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, it says they only have them in Baltimore, Chicago, and LA.

You guys are all very lucky, because you have tried the MMO that will set all MMO's. Oh and if anyone likes lending out beta accounts.. Im all ears!

Well for me the "gamesday" I'm talking about was the Warhammer tabletop stuff that I'm not particularly interested in but I went because Mythic brought about a dozen computers and set them up so that people could test out the Warhammer Online game.  I went in there, looked around at everything just to see what the people were doing.  Found some things interesting, others not so much.  There were quite a bit of hot girls dressed up as elves

Anyways, my buddies and I went over to the booths, played it for a good 20 minutes because most of the other people were busy painting figurines and playing table top scenarios.  We got quite a bit of time with the people and the game itself.  We threw our names into a draw and later on they handed out 50 beta spots, 2 of my friends got them and now I periodically use them to see what's up and so on.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
