Battle Grounds lag for you too?

I used to play DAOC all the time and me and my freind decided to go back and PvP in the lvl 20-24 Battle Grounds (BG).  And the lag is horrible!  It never used to be this bad for me.  Groups would completely warp ahead of me.  A mid would charge our group only to disapear.  This happen time and time again and to the point I cant play. 

And the BG is the only place I play in DAOC.  I played for roughly 3 years and BG is all I do and this is a great disapointment.  Note: When i played last night there were over 50ppl in the BG but today there were only 23 and the lag seemed even worst.

My question is for those who are currently playing DAOC only and are currently in BG lvl.  Is this lag happening to all of us? DO you too experience this?  If not is there anything anyone can recommend I try to fix the problem?  I have cable and all my other games I ping well in with no lag at all.  I have a router fyi. 

Oh one more thing I am in Percival server. But I would like to know the status of other servers as well.

Any help would be great. 

Sidenote:  System specs Athlonxp 3000+/Epox mobo/gig of ram/Radeon 9800 128mb

MY fps is fine so its not graphical lag.

I have been playing in Thid, Wilton and Molv and have had no lag in the BG's. I was on last night in Molvik and there were 20 mids and even more albs and hibs and it was fine. My system specs are 2000xp athlon, 1 gig of ram, ge4 4600 ti with 128 mgs, sb audigy sound card.

I talked to my friend too who we played in the same server and he said he was fine too.  It never used to be like this for me.  I turned off all external programs and it still happens.  I made sure the default xp firewall was off and still is bad.

I have great fps so I dont think its that but maybe its a graphical setting in options? like all those precaching options? I just turned everything up.

Whats ur connection speed at? Cause Dial-Up isn't the best for Daoc. I run with 800k. Most of the time when that happens is because ur connection is either getting slowed up or not responding. But most of the time if theres 80 people fighting ( which i have been in one, LAGG City!) you will get lag. It happens...

I fixed the problem.  I had pcilin running in the background with a personal firewall on.  Even tho it didnt show up in my task bar.

Battle grounds don't lag but last time I went on a keep raid with my fellow midgardians I almost went ld cos of the lag.  I wonder if they manage to sort that out before Frontiers goes online on the European servers......
