Odd issue with my soundcard...wondering if anybody has any ideas.
Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreem Audio
First I found my right speaker wasn't working. Figuring it was blown went out n grabbed some new ones (gave me an excuse to get better ones..=P), but turned out it wasn't the speakers. Seems I cannot get sound to the right side. I removed n reinstalled the drivers n updated everything....twice. Still no sound from right side.
Also when watching vids from this site or utube and many other sites, the sound starts ok then fades into a mumble, like alot of feedback and no longer hear the vid sounds. But there is some sites that sound works fine...seems a bit selective. And sound for games/dvds all work fine (but still not from right side)
I am guessing my soundcard is somehow fried...tho I never had one go on me b4. Should I replace the sound or try something else first?
Thnx in advance.

Rescent sound blasters have been of bad quality so it wouldn't be surprising if it was fried. Thats all I think it can be with the way the sound is working. It doesn't really sound like a missing sound codec or a problem playing mono-sounds.
Have you changed with your fade in and out timings in the software or any program that could change them?
Do a channel audible signal test from the software. It should go through all the channels you have hooked up with a speaker and say front left front right center etc etc. If you do that several times and it says it on that one speaker sometimes then other times it doesn't then you may have a blown channel from the sound card or your external amplifier has the problem. Since your connections come out of the sound card and into a subwoofer or external amplifier could be having an issue.
Either the card or your speakers that has the amplifier built in could be the problem.
