It is already a huge step up from what Perpetual was doing. At least Daron Stinnett is no longer around.
and if you read about there character creation you will be able to add those missing species that they do not add. But im sure there not missing out on any yet. Plus this is set atleast 40 years after nemises and there is a war between the federation and klingon Empire if i remember right. They will be updating there site with info year by year for the trek history to the preset game
All that in one game,we shall see.
And to think, people want even more.
if they do things right this could be fabulous.
The tech tree alone would be staggering, then add in exploration, major and minor evolving story arcs, etc etc
That's IF they stay true to the feel of all the tv incarnations and films that everyone knows and loves.
