Thinking about starting again.

I played WoW a while back now, about 9 months ago.

Now im thinking about starting again, I have a level 63 Night Elf Rogue.

I am also thinking about starting again with an Undead Rogue, Something about Undead's have always caught my attention. Night Elfs look to... Rick Astley'ish, If you know what i mean.

Also with the new expansion do you think it's worth it, For instance class balance, Hero class's. To be honest i hope they don't introduce alot of new hero class's (which they will) becuase it will destroy the older class's.

Well actually, you would use the older class's to level and when you reach a certain level you may choose to become a hero class. So i suppose they wount become useless becuase it's a starter class.

Bleh, anyway. Reply please.

Hero classes are fresh and new, but they'll be owned by rogues like the rest of the classes, :)

If your going to abandon your Night Elf, I suggest rolling on Ravenholdt if your rerolling horde. Lotta fun, helpful people there, and horde dominates that battle group.

The hero classes won't be especially powerful.  I don't think anyone in the beta is saying DK are even easier to level.  They start at a higher level, but at endgame, the devs won't let them be OP.

You don't understand how Hero classes work.  They start out at level 55 as brand new characters, you can only have 1 and all you need is 1 existing level 55 character, so there's no such thing as a starter character.  Now if you don't have an existing lvl 55 character than yes you'll have to level 1 to 55 to play a hero, but even then it won't go away when you create your hero character, you'll have 2 characters then.

And actually I doubt that Blizzard will be introducing many Hero classes.  This is only the first and depending how well it goes we might see one more in the next expansion in a couple years, but there isn't going to be that many of them.  There's already 9 classes and 1 hero class.  The more classes, the harder it gets to balance, they won't be introducing a bunch of hero classes.

This is from the latest spugnort email:

    • Death Knights rock! - Well as soon as we activated our beta account we, of course, started playing around with the Death Knight character class. These guys are pretty awesome and the beginner questline yields insane experience, talent points and nice blue items for quest turn ins. This is intended to "catch you up" to a character who started out at level 1.
    • Death Knights might be a little overpowered - Ok, although we love them we think the Death Knights might be a tad overpowered. I mean there just might be something a bit crazy about five players all of the same class and spec. being able to clear instances without even batting an eye. You heard me right, no tank, no healer just Death Knights (some underleveled) plowing through five mans.

    They seem overpowered.

Unless he's a European player, in which case Ravenholdt is an RP server :p

They haven't been balanced yet.  That's what a beta is for.
