I didn't get the chance to do the preview weekend but some of the feedback has sounded great but what i havent heard to much about is High End Raiding.
I understand this game in centred around RVR/PvP & there is some PvE content and even the various small dungeons spotted around but im talking more of the top end of raiding for guilds to go in & rape or be raped.
Not gona insult your inteligence im sure most know what im referring too, persoanlly i cant wait for the mass RvR but i think for diversity reasons thios wopuld be ncie to see maybe not to teh extent of normal PvE MMO's but still.

As I understand it there is only 2 raid instances which are the 2 kings in each city. So you will have one 24 man instance available for your faction I believe. I could be wrong though.
preview weekend players cant hep but wonder if they are pulling a funcom, but i can say as a closed tester the end game is definghtly there, hell tier 3 is enough end game for me lol.
i think hardcore raiders will be disapointed as the high level instances are for single groups, except for the two kings. however there is a game on the market that does raiding very well and theres an expansion coming out for it very soon.
T4 non PvP raid zones/progression Bastion stairs -> sigmar crypts(or destruction equivilent) -> Lost Vale.
they have lots of trash mobs and then PQs at the end of the different wings of the dungeons followed by boss fights once you get enough influence to get in them.

What group size is required for those?
No Dungeon requires moer than 6 people for the end boss. All dungeons are Public Dungeons, they each have 3 wings you can do in any order you pretty much want and on the time you want. You finish a PQ at the end of the wing and when you've gained the necessary influence over the wing you gain access to a 6 man Boss instance. These are not trash bosses they'll be some of the toughest Mobs in the Game they're essentially a raid boss who's HP is scaled for a 6 man party.
The only instance encounters in the entire game that require more than 6 people are the King Encounters they require 24. They've already stated they won't be adding 'raid' content they want all content to be available and doable for everyone in the game. Which is why even the King is an instance anyone who goes to the siege can go into. Though I suspect only well organized 24 man teams will have a shot at figuring out how to beat the king.
Essentially dont look for exclusive content.
I'm guessing the lairs will only be for party groups of 6 players also?
everything as of now is 6
the king is 24
Just cause its 6 doesnt mean its of raid quality or difficulty, its rather about getting a skilled group, then just getting the numbers.
Not sure .. I've never gotten to experience one and I was in beta for about 3 months. What I do know of Liars they're not Instances...so if you run into one whatever is inside them probably requires more than 6 people.
There's really very very little instancing in the game. There's zoning between Tiers, cities, and dungeon entrances but very little private instancing.
I have a question.. how does the King instance work? How many different groups of 24 people will be allowed to kill the king, or is it only one group?

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought Lost Vale was the highest level end game PVE dungeon (outside of the kings), and that Bastian Stair was another.

They are but they aren't "Raid" dungeons they're "Open" Dungeons with wings you go through and do PQ's in in order to gain access to the final boss in a private encounter.
There's no traditional RAiding...Raiding is an exclusive end game activity..therefor its not in WAR.
Narshe...if you go to the city while its under siege and your realm has completed certain tasks as many 24 man groups that want to kill the King can. Once your toon is flagged as successful in killing the king though you can't go in again until the next siege so you can't farm him.
Like I said there is no such thing as 'exclusive' content. They instanced the king and dungeon bosses off so that everyone gets a fair shot thats it.
btw dungeons are so huge they're their Own Zone(not an instance just a zone).
That's great news, thanks for clearing this up.
Well done Mythic.

I have to admit the 1 dungeon I got to see was pretty big and the article doesn't lie that everything is champion or higher lol you dont wanna walk through those alone thankfully there's a NPC Healer, Binder & meeting area in the entrance but by lvl 20 healers have rez so I suggest always having someone Rez you is better than auto release ..the walk back is dangerous unless its busy lol.
Lairs are open world. Essentially you explore, find the lair entrance, figure how to open it, and then go in and kill a really high level mob.
There's a video of someone finding and figuring out a lair at WHA, but I don't know the exact link. There are a lot of lairs, and they'll take exploration to find.
To give you an idea of the mobs found in lairs, there are normal, champion, and hero mobs. Heros are of course the really powerful ones.
In a Tier 2 lair that was shown in the video, the mob is a level 30 Hero. Tier 2 is level 12-21....
So I can't wait to see what drops from those difficult encounters.

Wandering apon a Lair will be dangerous business the mobs aren't always the same in some of them lol and some of them are only active at certain day/night cycles in the game too lol. I plan to lair hunt with no less than 12 people.
