You know, I love the game's concept, but I do see a lot of people excited about how they're going to destroy all the people who've upset them. Personally I think that's a little sad, not because I'm a carebear, but rather because I think it's a ominus omen of what may come on opening day. I'm all for the constant threat of violence, don't get me wrong, but I feel the price of failure and the risk of the unknown will keep many of these hardcore PKrs from trying to slaughter everything in sight. I think many of the so called "hardcore" players will be in for a rude awakening on opening day, not because the game is bad, but rather because it's actually very good. The unstopable uber character of past MMO's won't exist here, and I doubt many griefers will stick around to play because they'll end up being the ones getting looted just as frequently as they're the ones doing the looting. Perhaps I'm wrong. I suppose maybe one day we'll see.
PK:s will be in for a big surprice if they believe Darkfall will be a PK heaven.
A guild like mine with +100 members wont tolerate PK:s going highwild killing our crafters/allied crafters or PvE oriented members. They will be put down 24/7 cause we wont accept that kind of disturbance during resource gathering.
Its really quite simple - the power players in Darkfall will be the large clans with their allies.

I am talking about behaviour patterns. By allowing your community to build with a bunch of trash talkers, bullies and self confessed griefers running riot on a forum you are effectively saying "We find this behaviour acceptable."
Players in game take their que from this. This will be reflected in the sort of players the game attracts overall. It will be reflected in the way players approach and play the game and their expectations of it.
As for 'drama' - I thought that was nicely addressed by Gishgeron.

Yes we're griefers but dont grief all people we meet just for the fun of it. We grief the ones we see deserves it.
And we're a PvP guild, not a PK guild.
Most see griefers as some lame people killing of newbies. Were not like that in any way. Its much more fun grief the ones that believe they is the godsend PvP players and have a way too cocky attitude towards others.
To the OP - Darkfall have been the game here on MMORPG.com that had the most trolls, nay-sayers/ haters and vaporware claimers.
Its have been so bad that this Darkfall site have been overrun by them.
We have both been through all this so dont act supriced reading the massive hate fans express towards these nay-sayers and haters.
They deserve every quote you mentioned to the fullest.
Darkfall fans retaking this site to an extent have been very refreshing.
