Non-Closed Beta Guilds?

I'm interested in finding a casual-friendly guild that wasn't (heavily?) involved in the closed-beta testing. The majority of my experience with many guilds in beta, leading to launch, is a desire to leverage what they learned in Beta and get to the lvl 40 "end-game" as quickly as possible.

Although I have now levelled dozens of characters in beta, I want to take my time and enjoy the game, and am looking for people with the same mindset. I don't mind imparting the knowledge I have on the game to others, and love discussing it, but I want to experience the content (even Tier 1, which I know most of like the back of my hand), not consume it.

One sticking point is that I'm not always able to participate using Vent/TS/etc. I have no problem "listening", but am not always able to speak consistently due to off-hours work-shifts in my home.

I'm an EST(EDT) player, and have a friend who is looking for the same. The two classes I'm making a final decision between are an Archmage or Warrior Priest - either way, I love being a healer :).

Any recommendations? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not write out a public response.

Thanks!

You sound like the kind of person we'd love to have in the Dread Cabal, which will be on the Monolith server.

Most of us (including the guild leader) have avoided doing any tier 2 content.  I've also deliberately been skipping quest text and Tome write ups so that I can enjoy them for the first time in the live game.  Basically, we've been enjoying the beta and figuring out what classes we most want to play (I say most because we are all having trouble settling on just one from the many great choices).

Vent with us is required for any serious multiplayer action like going together into a scenario or after a battlefield objective.  The tougher the objective, the more Vent becomes a necessity.  That does not mean you need to be able to speak, though.  So long as you can hear what the leaders are saying, all's good.

In general we're a fairly mature group of players who believe in enjoying all aspects of a game and just having fun together.  Nobody is forced to participate in any part of the game that doesn't appeal to them.

You can read a little more about us including our charter at www.dreadcabal.com.  You can email me through MMORPG.com if you'd like.
