Sorry, computer idiot here! I installed this game a couple of days ago. It is really choppy. I ran the test on systemrequirementslab.com and it said tha only problem (below the minimum was my HD space by .1 GB) does that sound right? whould a bigger HD help?
I have a Radeon x1650 and 3 GB ram. a P4 3.00 Ghz processor all of which are above minimum, could a simple HD fix this and make it playable? ( i have my vid options on very low bare bones settings)
just wondering if it is worth the money buying a new HD.
Thanks

As a rule of thumb, games need extra space anyway, so around 2-5gb extra free space is good.
If you can, just uninstall/delete some stuff. It'll save you from having to pay for a whole new HD. Like the above said, you'll want enough space to install the full game, leaving enough space for what's called the "paging file" (which is usually the same or double the size of your video RAM, usually 1-2 GB is fine) and patches in the future.
How big is your current hard drive?
i put it on my laptop and WOW what an improvement! no lag (or very little) why is this the processor is not that much better and the RAM is 1 G less? All told it is a grat game and the pvp is an ass kicker . know you class rally well and be quick. you will die alot ( if you are new to pvp like me but it is fun) why will it not play on my desk top like this? is there that big of difference between a 9700 and an x1650? (laptop vs. DT?)

WAR still has some unresolved hardware-compatibility issues, so that would explain why it runs better on a supposedly slower system.
People have all sorts of issues with WAR, most of which can probably be attributed to hardware (which would be Mythics' fault for not testing enough perhaps?) - I for one have to keep up with an annoying memory leak - game crashes after about an hour or so, or rather startes freezing for several seconds on and off.
