Well after six long years, Square has finally released a trial for FFXI! You no longer need a buddy key to try out FFXI for free anymore, as Fileplanet is currently hosting the trial for FFXI.
For people in the US who are interested in trying the FFXI trial, visit this page.

First of all, i am not cheap, i simply have better things to do with my money.
I got too many betas on my plate, my SOE station pass to fork even 2$ for a game i may not even like. I DO however am a paying subscriber of fileplanet and well, this is a reason why i already pay fileplanet. To get trials and access to MMO`s.
Man, this is actually kind of creepy to me o_ o
It was not only like a few days ago that I was thinking, "man, I can't believe they still don't have a trial for this game. I'd like to give it another whirl." I was even looking around for someone to borrow a buddy key from, but eventually gave up hope.
Talk about crazy timing haha.
