The Character Advance System I'd Like to See

Ultima Online meets Diablo II

Give me a system with a nearly unlimited combination of skills with a system that has thousands of unique weapons and gear. In this way, a specific set of drops with a specific set of skills allows me to have a very unique character.

I can build a Spear-wielding Ninja, a bomb making assasin, a cook with a penchant for poison, a cold-based holy warrior, a necromantic priest, a bold barbarian with dual-wielding lifeleach hammers, an armored tank that sings paralyzing songs, or whatever other wacko combination of gear and skill I can think of.

I don't care of the character is a min/max master, someone will always find the "best" PVP or PVE template for a given encounter. I don't care. I want the opportunity to come up with a couple dozen character templates that are not only dependent upon gear but also on character skills. In this way I can explore the game in unique and interesting ways.

Such a system would give me the ultimate in replayability. Someone, please go make this happen.

    sounds good.

i bet both the democratic and republican candidates for president of the USA would support the op.

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

It's already been created as an MMO. Meet Asheron's Call.
