Double magic attack by a shaman or staff user

Well, is there a way that I can let my shaman or my main character attacks by means of double magic? What I mean is that after the first shot of magic another magic attack can occur. Is there a way that I can always do this combo?

I don't think so.

My Shaman does double normal attacks (rarely even a triple) but never a double magic such as Hex of Darkness. (although it does attack a line of opponents)

I see, so it is just plainly a random attack? I thought that it is a combo already, how I wish that there is such a way that whenever I'll be doing normal attacks the staff user can perform this double magic attack, so it can be much more powerful rather than just once.

I am sure there is some mathematical equation of what makes combos more common but to me it is absolutely random and I am praying 1/2 the time that she will use a double attack because if that mob she is attacking doesn't die one of mercs may and then I would be pissed that I didn't use her for heal.

Yes, we do have the same feeling about it, sometimes I'd rather choose to kill a mob rather than to heal another mercenary. I always tend to boost up my main's characters experience gain, so I do really need to choose her over my mercenaries, but I'm still wishing of that they can strengthen their kinds or atleast give them more combos, like the double magic attack I'm talking about, which is casted by the shaman or staff user by chance. What do you think?

i think it's based on the attack power. that's the number above the merc's hp bar. i also think that the number of clicks are a factor but then there's are times that even one click could merit a combo so i'm not sure about that.
