I have made a necromancer as my main class, now i don't know what to choose for second class i was thinking on Ritualist or Elementist, what do you think ?
Like the guy above says it depends on the build you want to run but I personally would recommend trying places like pvxwiki. I think it's a good place to start and through looking through and trying certain builds it gives you a good amount of knowledge on what kind of synergies to look for when creating your own because before I found that out I was a bit all over the place.
Depends how much time to want to spend trying out things and planning but I think there's no point in trying to reinvent the wheel.
My advice is not to create a PvP character. There really is no need. I only touched PvP around a year after I first played Guild Wars.
With regards to your secondary profession - it depends on the build you want to run. If you're going to be a minion master, Monk will be your secondary of choice. If you're going for curses or blood, you may want to explore possibilities such as Mesmer.
Don't worry too much about making the wrong decision. Not too far along in the campaign you will have the ability to switch your secondary profession for a small fee. Should you not be happy with that switch, you're also free to switch back to your first via a drop-down menu on your skill sheet (K). In essence you can "buy" all the secondary professions and swap and change between them whenever you want. Your secondary profession choice will in no way be game-breaking as there is always a build for your professions and you'll be able to change it should you wish, in summary
I'm confused; how can playing PvP in anyway be useful for a PvE character? I agree with Lydon that the secondary choice isn't very relevant since you after a fairly short time will be able to change your secondary for a fairly small sum of gold. Here's a [url:http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/172099]guide to choosing your secondary, that way I don't have to rewrite all here.

Is this a PVP only character or PVE?
If its pve I would suggest creating a PVP character and trying random arena since you can switch your second class at any time.
Oh and don't go to any Wiki sites you will have a much better time making your own spec.
Worst thing I could of done was goto that site it ruined it for me, I hate cookie cutter specs.
PLaying: EvE, Ryzom
Waiting For: Earthrise, Perpetuum
