I quit mmorpg.com.. There is never a single positive thread about the game even tho its always a great time when I play it. I don't understand all theses trolls...
I registered a few months before the release of warhammer to get some info on the game and I thank you all for that. Now, it is just trolling and more trolling.
Tell me this. How can you say xfire is relevant when you start your sentence with " Whatever the % of user is..."
Exactly.. W-E.... You can say what you want if you start by saying "what evar man"
dude... come on now...
Anyway it's not important. Warhammeralliance is a lot better and acurate. And, even better, 10 time less trolling.

There have been discussions about the Xfire argument in the past but there's a certain faction of knuckleheads that don't understand it, so don't bother expecting them to.
If you want good discussions about the game, you're right, go to Warhammer Alliance. Pretty good forum community there.

yea iknow what u mean op but its kinda like this i like to see people ranting over and over again of the cons of a game cause like i dont know why they have to repeat the same thread i mean like someone says there is server imbalance and then in 6 minutes anther thread comes out and it sais what is wrong with war and inside omg again server imbalance what a shocker it kinda makes me wonder how people can be so retared to repeat it over and over and over ........ it kinda makes me feel smart and nouses at the same time

Sorry but Warhammeralliance is ran by pro-WAR-Nazis. They close EVERY single critical thread. If you rather want to discuss only with people who agree with you all the time in a place ripe with censors, go ahead. I dont understand how anyone can seriously see warhammeralliance as a better forum, unless you prefer to discuss games in a safe protected place where you know mods are your protective overlords.
Yes, MMORPG is neutral space, where everyone can say his thing, reasonable or not. But I rather want to enter an open arena where everyone can say his opinion no matter how qualified than be under the heel of Mods like in warhammeralliance where every second of my threads was locked and deleted for "being not constructive". They practice nothing less than opinion dictatorship. I NEVER have seen them lock "non constructive" threads that praised WAR. Its obscene and hilarious what they practice and I want no part of a place like that!! I rather fight my own fights with those who attack me than being in a golden cage.
It's war related and it is directed to those who read the war thread.

I see no problem with moderators getting rid of the hate posts.. I mean, Hell.. we have so many WoW trolls on the WAR forums.. it just.. makes it unfun.

lol, I admit the trolls are funny to watch when they need to prove their point. Whatever means they use they are right in every way (according to them).
Such statements make me really pissed. It has become a sad habit indeed to call everyone troll who has a different opinion. When WAR is so overhyped I think calling over mistakes a little bit louder than normal is not wrong. Netto both sides, fans and critics tend of over emphasize their point, but thats a natural part of any debate. I just cant stand people who must name others troll or fanboy in every damn thread, and if you have that mindframe, we dont loose much with your going, sorry to say.
Where has our spirit gone that we said Freedom of Speech? Where has our confidence gone, that in the end we learn from fighting, we grow from fighting, and suddenly we all want opinion police, political correctness and all that shit? Sure, if you have an opinion and go public with it, you may get some verbal bloody nose, and I am all for closing threads which attack the PERSON. But if you cant stand a fight, dont go into an arena. People are just way too quick to call other opinions trolling or fanboism and call for the big brother to censor the evil other. Who is so wise, so big that we really trust to be objective? I dont trust such objectivity to no one, myself included, so I always was for minimal government and minimal moderation. The only valid reason to close a thread is the personal attack and slandering. Everything else must be negotiable.

Er...you seem to make little sense. Most official forums are there for merely informative purposes. Any negative criticism will normally be silenced, it isn't just Warhammer Alliance; it's on every game, every forum. Actually, this is part of the reason Mythic didn't want official forums. They knew they'd have the disgruntled customers who purchased the game, played it two days, didn't like what they were playing and instead of moving on, would spend their remaining 28 days of account activity bashing the game on the forums.
You can spin it any way you want, but in the end, it doesn't help a game's community to read "This game sucks" on any forum dedicated to that particular game. On MMORPG.com constructive criticism isn't silenced because the staff has nothing to gain or lose from a certain MMO's community growing or waning.
I don't see what there is to fight. Did you not like the game? Play something else. Do you feel the game over-hyped its features and "tricked" you into buying it? I don't really buy that excuse anymore. Ever since Vanguard: SoH we've all learned to be a little more careful in not paying so much attention to hype, or to come to expect less than what we're promised. If you feel you were misled, then it's your own fault.
I've been enjoying the game, despite its clear and visible flaws. The game has great potential and is in great hands, which is why I'm willing to give it some time. I did the same with World of Warcraft. I trusted Blizzard to create something good, and they did. I enjoyed it for a couple of years before they put development in the hands of their customers. I digress.
I don't understand either mentality: troll or fanboy. There's no reason to display zeal or fanaticism on either side of the spectrum over a game. If you don't like something, move on. If you love it, play it. Neither person is entitled to go knocking door-to-door preaching their X-Game PRO or ANTI gospel.

Thanks OP, I've actually been pretty disgusted myself with the kind of behaviors that are allowed on the WAR boards here and was looking to find a replacement. I'll definitely check out warhammeralliance if they know how to moderate. I miss the WAR beta boards, those guys really knew their shit and what to do with trolls. But that was a better time.
As annoying as trolls are here I really don't blame them at all for how they act - because ultimately people only behave here as they are allowed.. The line will always get pushed to the farthest point where people can act like asshats but still get away with it. If the moderation was better we wouldn't even see a fraction of trolling that we have now. The moderation is to blame for the state of the boards, not the people that visit here.
But I guess if they really moderated the boards properly, the site might lose all its traffic, heh.

Trying to even appear as anything other than a troll, Yunbei, is simply a wasted effort. You are one of the biggest trolls on mmorpg.com's WAR forum, currently tied for the first place position with Evasia. I'd personally pin a ribbon on both of you, truely award winning performances.
However, I personally cant stand people that are clear non-supporters, chiming in time and time again with there "opinions", all in a vain attempt to persuade perspective players into playing some other game. See what I did there?
Force feeding fans your negative "opinions" repeatedly is only going to garner disrespect and hate among those discussing the subject at hand, particularily any steadfast fans. You also seem to be under the impression that your "opinion" of the game being overhyped and riddled with mistakes is the correct one.
There is no correct or incorrect opinion, simply a variance. This is a misconception made by most truely simple individuals, as seen daily on this wonderful social experiment we call mmorpg.com.

hmm.. I beleive I was talking about troll in general in my op? Are you telling me there is no troll? I can see a good argument when I see one, good or bad.

When I said warhammeralliance was better, I was just saying its better to talk ABOUT the game.. should have precised sorry. If you are searching for a certain item you have more chance finding info there. It's not because everyone like the game, heck there are lots of threads saying how the game is lacking and everything, but it's 10 times better when it come to trolling. The moderator are really active there but they have no problem with bashing the game AS LONG AS THEY PLAY BY THE RULES.

I can't say I spend significant amounts of time on the WAR alliance boards, but I do visit regularly. I think you are being a little unfair to them. They are nothing like the AoC boards were to me - which is more a true reflection of what you refer to. For example if you complained about lag, your post got deleted.
On the flip side - I see a thread on the Alliance boards, that has been up for weeks, complaining about the lack of fix to Rune Priest master runes. It has been bumped many times and yet to be closed or locked on the side, it is a legitimate issue and deserves notice. I did see them close a thread in my server forums - where people were taking pot shots at each other. Basically someone was complaining about the other side, where some members of a large guild were present. The GM of the other side's large guild asked them to send him a tell with some specific information and names and he would address it . People then started bickering back and forth that were not even involved in the situation. After some time they closed the thread as it became pointless.....which frankly I don't have a problem with. From what I see they tried to keep that site more informational, where this site for example is more debate and opinion. I like both and each have their place.
