Blizzard having issues... or am I screwed?

in World of Warcraft

Tried to log into WoW tonight and got the message that the information entered is invalid, but I haven't changed my username or password.. So I go to the account management website to try and have my password reset and my email address isn't correct for the account.....

Thinking I'm hacked? If so, this is the first time it' s ever happened to me on any MMO...

    Did you recently click on any questionable wow links, any questionable downloads (mods/hacks), perhaps participated in some Real Money Trading?

    I know half of this someone wouldn't want to admit, but if so, there could be your answer.

    It does sound like the info has been changed to me, unless it's amnesia!

    Run an anti virus scan on your computer, clean any spyware, change your email password, and call them on Monday. They will ask you a few questions to verify it's your account and then they will send you your password to whichever email account. If anything has happened to your account just send in a petition in game and they will eventually get back to you to roll back your account.

    Those passwords are case sensitive. Check caps lock.

    Trammies need to stop polluting the MMORPG landscape. They already have enough games in which to emote hugs and sell garbage by the banks.

    Nope, no mods hacks, bad links, and no real money trading... And no it's not amnesia.:(

     

    It's crazy that they have no support over the weekend.

    I clean spyware every day, and my PC ran a virus scan earlier tonight before I ever tried logging in and found nothing.

    Upset anyone recently who has access to your account (wife, kids, or family member)? Log in on a different PC that might have a keylogger? Unsecure wireless?

    Nope, only one friend knows my username and actually used my account for a short time a year or so ago, but I changed the password on him (he doesn't know the password) when he was done using it.. And yes we are still friends.
