Why Wurm?

So... What is Wurm?

Well... I've played it since beta, when cows had misplaced heads and everyone feared the player named "Troll". I don't have time to play these days because of study, but I still check the news now and then. I'll try to explain what Wurm is about:

Wurm is a game that requires patience. A lot of patience. Like in RL: You can't be a scientist, a soldier, a cook, a tailor and a carpentry on the same time, right? And you can't just create a village in 3 days. In Wurm you'll have to choose  and prioritize one skill at a time. If you want to be a blacksmith - Then work with ONLY blacksmithing, untill you reach a certain level as goal.

Now you say: "But how am I gonna feed myself meanwhile?!" You're not going to feed yourself, because you've just joined a nice village with a couple of friends, right? If not - then find a village that accepts newcomers. They're not rare! In Wurm there's 2 levels: Hard(Home) and Ultra hard (premium servers). Paying for premium is NOT gonna make it easier in the first place. Nothing in Wurm is easy. You can get killed by even cats and pheasants! It's nearly impossible to survive alone, because every single little skill and sub-skill is needed for survival! Join a village or create one with a handful friends...

I've made 10 properties etc, each values 1 point. The more point you get - The more Wurm is fit for you!

- I'm very patient.

- I like MMORPGs.

- I'm creative.

- I'd rather make a small 1x1m house than fighting a dragon.

- I'd like a game where everything is playmade, and even the landscape can be changed by players.

- I won't try go solo first time I play.

- I love challenging games.

- The feeling of creating is better than the feeling of destroying.

- I have at least 2 hours free time for Wurm every day.

- I'm over the age of 10 or at least very mature.

The only way to become a JOAT (Jack of all trades) is to grind Wurm 12 hours every day. The only way to survive alone is to grind 8 hours every day. The way to play Wurm is to find a village with some nice guys and girls. The way to play Wurm is to enjoy making projects together in the village and "Wurm-wide". If you think of Wurm as if you HAVE to logon, but you're not enjoying it - then you're playing it in a wrong way. Wurm will always be like this, even though it scares many players. This is what makes Wurm unique. It's the most realistic and challenging RPG I've ever seen.
