Looking for information on Blizzard's New MMORPG.

I remember some time ago reading about a "top" secret new project that Blizzard was working on... That it was going to be a new MMORPG.
Anyone heard anything?

As far I know there is no more news then knowing Blizzrad IS making a new MMORPG, nothing more .....unfortunaly, well there is more but it is all based on speculations on numerous forums on the internet, but nothing solid from Blizzard themselfs about their new MMORPG.
It will be an item grinder without lore and complexity, thats for sure.
No info yet. All we know is that it's going to be wildly different from WoW. Probably sandbox.

The only information they released was at Blizzcon where they said they are working on a new MMO.And when asked at what universe it is,they answered that its a new IP.So not World of Starcraft or Diablo ;p.

It will either be a diablo or Stars of Starcraft.

Blizzard is working on a new MMO project. It is not related to Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2. It will be a new game in a new universe. Other than that there isn't any more info at this time. Any other information you find came from an illegal or B.S. source.
If only the C.I.A. could be as secretive as Blizzard!

no . just no. That is for a bygone era when players are ones with no life. The WOW model is teh way to go. Knowing Blizzard, they are not going to be stupid enough to kill their own market with a harsh death penalty.
All they have said is that it will be an original IP, IE no World of Starcraft, World of Diablo, or WoW 2.0. They have also, I believe, that it will be different then WoW and not be a replacement for WoW.. They pretty much revolutionized MMOs with WoW (even though they pretty much just put together ideas from older MMOs, with a few unique convience utilities put in) and I don't doubt that they have the funds and talent to create a great unique MMO.
There are many WoW haters, believing they "dumbed down" mmos by making their game more accessible and easier to get into, but I don't doubt that they can make a great, unique game that isn't anything like WoW. They made a great improvement going from Warcraft 2 to Warcraft 3 (some would argue differently, but that's my opinion) and I hope they can achieve the same improvement with their new MMO venture.

You got a lvl 80 in eq2 which somehow managed to be wose than eq1, and shit on a half decent game jsut because all the eq boys are forced to hate wow.

Ill say only Diablo was truly orignal. WC and SC both had very strong roots from there warhammer counterparts.

It's called World of Carrot Chaser Online. It comes out in 2010 and will be $20 a month + microtransactions (sock incl).
Whatever it is I'm sure it will be good. You can learn a lot after making your first MMO (yes even Blizzard).

That looked like a potentially very good game based on who is involved and their general outlook until I read about microtransactions in the interview that was linked, I won't play it no matter how good it turns out to be if it is mt based.
This makes some sense. Blizzard can afford to make a niche game now, one that caters to "hardcore" players and has less of a chance to be a blockbuster.

I believe their company policy is not to make nieche games, but something in the lines of bringing nieches to the masses.
