You'll be fine for sure at Medium. I have a test system very similar to yours but my system has a AMD Athlon 2.4 Ghz processor that is slightly better than yours. ANyways, here comes the best part, I run that system on high (in fact close to maxed out) and have FPS 30 in some of the graphically most demanding sections of that game.
That's sweet to heard. cuzz am trying to make a lowbudget gaming pc. since my laptop die on me, thanks to my girl....

Yeah, medium it is. The GFX card is what does the difference, with a GTX 280 you could easily run it on high and with a 7600 you would be on low.
Of course if the GFX card do have a fan you could clock it up to get better performance (more info here) but be a bit careful.
AoC and most other games are using the GFX card a lot more than the processor (EQ on the other hand uses the processor a lot) so what matters is your GFX card. If you ever feels like running AoC on high you can just get a new GFX card. AoC really looks awesome on high.
Can you supply some screenshots? to delite my eyes

It's important to know what resolution you're going to be playing at as well.
Anybody who posts that they get 30FPS or 300FPS needs to talk about resolutions and other "minor" or "major" tweaks of the settings.
@ 1024x768 you will probably pull 25-30FPS on Medium for instance.
Sure thing boss:
Tortage (Noob area):
Kheshata (70+) area
Atzels approach (60+)
Purple lotus swamp (gathering/crafting area)
More AA
All these pictures are on high, I just realized that I can max it out totaly however but don't have any shots of that yet. all pictures have been shrink to 1 meg to fit photobucket but you get the point, it looks great.
This is sweet! I love it. in a couple of week ill probably be playing this game. i was playing Lotro but my fellowship disbanded so i want to play something else.

OP,I have almost the same specs as you and run the game on medium/high with no problem. The only difference is that I`m using 7800GT x 2 in SLI and a SATA 2 HDD.
In the land of Predators, the lion does not fear the jackals...
Vista users want to keep in mind that once the DX 10 version comes out they will need plenty of RAM and Plenty of CPU/GPU to have any type of decent performance. I still would go with a Dual over a Quad core CPU as AoC just isn't optimised for the latter.
To play AoC with better than average settings you need a computer that can land on the moon.
.....Damn, in that case i think nasa can keep it.
