Best virtual computer hacking game

I would do a poll, but I only know two virtual hacking games: SlaveHack and Hacker Project.

My vote goes for Hacker Project.

What's your favorite virtual hacking game?

This along with Hacker 2:Doomsday Papers imho are the best....outdated by today's standards to be sure but they were fairly complex...lots of trial and error.

I'd heard of Uplink before, but not the others.

Since I like MMORPGs, DarkSigns Online could be up my alley, but it looks like it might require some programming knowledge. I know nothing about programming anymore, so I'd probably be lost on that one. It looks like DarkSigns Online is pretty dead too.

Activision - THAT'S OLD!!! I probably was still playing Zork III then. :)

Hacker Project is at www.hacker-project.com, if you want to check it out. It's browser based. Has nobody else played this? It's been out for a few months...

I’ve played both SlaveHack and Hacker Project, and I also prefer Hacker Project. It’s got a good mix of strategy and feels pretty realistic. I’ve also played Uplink, which is a classic if you’re into virtual hacking. I like trying out different game hacks, too. They can make games more interesting, like getting extra resources or unlocking new levels. I’ve used hacks in games to skip the grind and focus more on the fun parts. If you’re into that, there are some great blogs like https://dev.to/ghrake where you can find useful tips and hacks. Definitely worth a look!
