Need Class Help

theJPKtheJPK Member Posts: 91

I'm new to the game and looking for a class. In the past I have mastered any role as long as it takes skill. Mage, healer, ranger, whatever.  I want to fill in whatever role take skill and/or is most needed in the PvP enviroment that is Shadowbane.

Link any class guides too plz.

A brief worded template for Templar:

Human Fighter, promote to Templar at level 10.  Focus on INT, STR, and CON.  Mainly INT and CON, because your a magical tank.  INT will raise your magic damage.  You can use a two handed Burning Great Sword, or a one handed sword with a Shield.  Do not put points into Spirit, the return is horrible for a fighter class.

A brief worded template for Confesser:

Human Healer, promote to Confesser at level 10.  Focus on INT and CON.  You are a direct damage dealer that can heal.  INT will bump up damage and heals, CON is used to stay alive (hitpoints).  You will use mana, but you can turn your hitpoints into more mana, so you never have to sit down, and never need points in Spirit.

Its best to try and find a guild to join. I do not know any that are currently recruiting, so your best bet is the UBIsoft forums.

If you are brand new I recommend a class that gets track naturally. Trying to solo PvP without track is like walking across a freeway blindfolded.

The huntress is the most powerful class with natural track.

My favorite is a female half-giant huntress:
--At creation -5 from all stats
--take con to 40, use the starting rune Warlord's page
    -- level up
--Use the spear as your weapon
--take inteligence to 60, and put all the rest of your points into strength and con.

This is just a starting character that will get you used to game, you can do a lot of damage and you won't die easily on it.

Here is the official SB forums which you will find very helpful:
