Some status questions

I am interested in returning to the game, as I played on the pvp server when it was setup.  So I don't waste my time and money, I have some questions prior if anyone can help me.

1. Around the time I left, hacking was becoming a bit rampant on the pvp server.  Is that still commonplace?

2. How's the overall population?  Is there at least a single server that is healthy?  Looking at the average levels, it doesn't seem many people go past the trial.  I loved the world of this game, but an empty world is quite boring.  I want to see if groups are difficult to get, especially as I may re-level up again.

Thank you.

If you are planning to return to PvP, I can't really help you.  I don't think the PvP population is good, and I know nothing about PvP hacks.

If you are planning to return to a PvE server, the Seradon population is very healthy and I think Xeth is in good shape too.  Servers show medium now and I haven't seen that since right after the merge a year or more ago.  It's been a very nice and steady increase of players.  That said, Telon is MASSIVE, you'll still find areas with very few folks in them.  But if you watch the region chats, it's a continous scroll of discussion and you realize there are a lot of people online, even if they aren't near you :)

Groups are pretty easy to get, depending on your level.  Just be prepared, probably the hardest stretch to get a group is 10 to 25.  First, that is a level range that many can level through quickly and second, if one wants to, they can solo via quests through that range as well.
