Does anyone own a computer parts store?

I live in New york, Staten Island. There are those computer repair places here, a decent amount. In most of them, they do not know how to repair computers.. Nor can you have a techie conversation with them. Im woundering if opening up a high end computer parts store would be worth my time? There are not high end computer parts stores on this island, you'd have to drive out to brooklyn, or manhattan for those kinds of things, but here, none.
So I'm wondering if anyone on the forum owns one of these stors, or works with one of these stores to get a jist at what they're throwin.
