About the released sys requirements.

We all know this:

 

Operating System: Windows XP, Vista

Processor: 2.5GHz Pentium 4, or equivalent

RAM: 1GB for Windows XP, 2GB for Windows Vista

Graphics Card: 128MB PixelShader 2.0 support

Hard Drive Space: 12 GB Free Space Minimum

 

The system reqs given out by gamecompanies often mean something different, sometimes they are a total pile of crap, sometimes games scale weirdly. What kind of a machine do we need to play on higher resolutions like 1920 and 1680 with max settings beeing able to maintain high solid framerate with loads of people fighting on the screen.

 

Any comments/estimations from betaplayers?

    My guess is 512mb grapics card and 4gb ram

    However, in the end I dont think that DF is going to be for those players who desire game graphics over all else. Try AoC for that.

    I am currently in beta and no you do not need 4gigs because I run the game perfectly with 2 gigs

    about the resolution question I run the game in 1024 X 768 and it looks fine. No difference then any other resolution graphic wise.

    Most min system specs are really "Will boot up" system specs.

    Identical to WAR specs, except for the hard drive space. WAR's was 15GB

     I have a:

     

    Dual Core at 2.23 ghz per processor

    1 gig of ddr2

    9800gtx

    Game runs at a solid 128 frames a second 90% of the time.  

     

    Until about 3 days ago, i had a 7300LU... a HORRIBLE graphics card... and the game still ran fairly well.  It maintained about 35 fps most of the time.  I pvp'd with it quite a bit as well, and the only time it failed me was crossing load zones.

     

    Having a quadcore isn't going to help you run Darkfall over a dual core.  The game uses predominantly 1 processor.

    For absolutely flawless performance, I would recommend a 3ghz+ Dual Core, 2 gigs of DDR3, and a 1gig GPU.
