My last pet was Tish, short for Morticia...a black as velvet cat...just beautiful.

She lives with my friend Lisa in Minneapolis now.

I have two stray cats I keep fed on my back balcony.   Dot Ski and Net Q are their names.   I'll get picts of them soon.  So you can see them.

I dont got a picture of him But I found this. Linkie

    I call him Rockie

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

    Male Black Lab named Orion:

I named him after my Ultima Online character heh. In fact, I would really like to name a son Orion if I hopefully have that option in the future.

I also have a Female Sheltie named Misty:

A Female Miniature Daschund mix named Eleanor:

and a Female Miniature Daschund pure bred named Porsche:

Only the Lab and Sheltie were planned but the other two were strays that kind of forced themselves into my care. Eleanor was first and I did manage to find a home for her, but after she ate the new owner's 2 lovebirds(one at a time heh) I ended up getting her back. For Porsche, I found her wandering near a busy street and just was never able to track down her owners.

We have a Deer Chihuahua named Fawn (nickname: Princess) and a pure bred mini Dapple Dachshund Named Dodger (nick name: Stinky Malone).

This is how he prefers to sleep. Half covered on his back airing his nads.

Unfortunately he had to be put down, he had a canine form of schizophrenia...weird, I know...but that's what you get with Bulldogs - health problems...I present to you the goofiest dog I've ever owned, Norman

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

I have a Devon Rex cat.  They are amazing cats.  So gorgeous and said to be the smartest of housecats.  Playing fetch is my cats favorite sport!

    Amber - Maine Coone

One of the sweetest felines I have ever met. Interesting thing about her though Is that she's made friends with every dog I've seen her with, but instantly gets grumpy with any other cats. Was an excellent hunter in her youth, I will never forget finding her with a half grown water moccasin on my porch. I'm still not sure how the heck she took it out without being bitten.

    Cinder - Belgian Tervuran

Overwhelmingly protective of her "pack", she seems to have an uncanny ability to distinguish between guests to the house and... others. Greeting the first with a friendly grin and chasing off the second. We don't get many repeat visits from Jehovah's Witness advocates here.

    Bandit - Pointer/Dalmation/other mix

A quiet dog, he was found sick with a freshly broken leg on the side of the road one evening, maybe 3 months old at the time. Frankly, we weren't sure if he was going to survive. Today, he is rather... clingy, with a perfectly practiced sweet wide eyes expression.

    Bella - Border Collie

A near embodiment of the term "ditzy", this young pooch seems to be 70% pure energy, and 30% showoff. One of her favorite pastimes is snagging a small item, a sock, screwdriver, shoe, etc. and prancing around, practically begging someone to chase her and get it back.

WOW, neat looking cat.  Never heard of that type. Mind if I ask on how much they cost? Do they get huge or stay small.

The Devon Rex is a 'new' bread actually. The first one was found in a coal mine in Europe by a farmer in the 1950's. They saw it had this unique short wavy hair and bred it. Every Rex since shares that common ancestor.

Average size i would say, but look smaller because they have very short hair. Also, they're quite athletic.

I paid like $600 several years ago. I've heard they're more like $1k now... Still a bargain considering how much you're going to spend on food & care anyway. There are Rex Rescue lists (google) you can join and maybe get one cheap or free from someone who can't keep a pet anymore for whatever reason.

    They are definitely cool.

    Behaviour

The typical Devon is active, mischievous, playful, and very people-oriented. They have been described as a cross between a cat, a dog and a monkey (or, more famously, as "a monkey in a cat suit"). They are high-jumpers and will try to occupy any space large enough to admit them. With this trait, they are often found in odd nooks and crannies of a closet, shelf, or laundry basket. Devons prefer to be in high places and will go to great lengths to get to the highest spot in a room. They are relatively easy to take care of. Most Devons also have one central person to whom they devote their love, and on whom they will most often lie and rub. They like to playfully nip, and love to play throughout their lives.

They are a very intelligent breed; the typical Devon Rex can be trained to walk on a lead, fetch or perform all manner of tricks usually associated with canines, like jump, heel and tag to name a few.

Another common trait is their show of affection: they have a particular penchant for being close to the head or neck of their human companions and can often be found mounted upon ones shoulder or nestled into the cranny created by the neck and shoulder when one is prone.
