patching failed...

in Darkfall
when i start the program I get the message "initializing Patcher" at the top. After a minute or so it says, "patching failed, and will restart in a few minutes". have tried it 5 times and something is obviously wrong
anyone having similiar problems or does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

I am guessing the server is getting rushed and slowed down. I also think there might be a que to patch. I am getting the same issue.
Me too. I wonder if someone knows a direct way to d/l the patch and we can just manually install it.

As I said, they gave you all three free days for a reason. Expect to be able to play in the next 72 hours. Enjoy!
likely because some of us are clogging the patching. It is crawling along because so many of us are updating. Hang in there, it will likely ease up as some of us finish and enter the world
My prediction is that is that the patching server is getting flooded with request. Any update with anyone that gets past this problem would be appreciated.
It is now going for me, it is validating a few files. If it says it's failed, exit and open it again until it works.

I was patching, but for some reason it had me d/l'ing 7.6 GBs. Any idea why? Some people have said they were getting about 750 MBs.
I decided to close it, since I saw people were getting fails. Bit the bullet and it's definitely because of traffic. I can't start patching again.
Anyway... Can I just replace the old files with the new one by copy/paste in my Darkfall folder? The patch is putting them into a different spot.
The client was released and it had two patches, each about 126MBs to download, on top of this new one. It could be you did not install the previous two. I could be wrong, just guessing really.

Well, I used the official torrent d/l and it ended up being 8.65'ish GBs. So, basically 7.6 GB means I'm pretty much d/l'ing the entire client again. Not really sure what that's all about. At least it's patching again at 400-700 kb.
*Edit* - Bursting up to 990 kb now. I can live with that.
after 20 min of restarting the client. got a validating 'dfdata_0001.sfad' up to 'validating dfdata_0015.sfad'.while validating it restarted twice but picked up where it left off. Then the patcher started DLing the patch...
