Going to the Caribbean, Need suggestions

Hey all. For my 10h anniversary I want to take my wife to a resort in the Caribbean. Problem is I have no clue where to go. Went online, looked for reviews. Basically everyone says everywhere is great...somehow I just don’t believe it.



Has anyone ever been to the Caribbean. Anyone have suggestions for places I ought to look into and things to watch out for?

    How much you willing to spend?   I know some places.  A couple are kinda spendy though.  So let me know.  ^_^

    Was gonna suggest Cuba but then I noticed you're from the states.  Been there twice, both times different experiences for me.  First time it was a private beech with no locals and was somewhat boring.  The second time around the locals were allowed to come on the weekends.  Saw some really hot young cuban girls once or tiwice and went swimming with dolphins.

    But since you're in the US I guess Cuba is out of the question.  I hear the Bahamas are nice.

    No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

     Take a trip to any of the virgin islands.  I've been to saint thomas.... wow... just wow... its real pretty there.

    Hey All, Thanks for the replies

    to answer some of the questions. I would like to keep things under $2,500 if possible. I have scuba'd before but my wife is dreadfully afraid so likely only a snorkling trip (Bah!)

    Any great places that have fun excusions, list em. Cause I just cant stand the thought of just sitting on the beach/pool the entire time
