I think I've said just about everything to be said against the morons running Darkfall.
I've given every reason I had as to why people should not have trusted amateurs with their credit card details until they proved themselves capable.
I've sat and argued with just about every fan and fanbot ( yes, they are two different types of people ) about the obvious similarities between the development of this game and other past mmorpg fiascos.
So now, I'm going to sit back and watch only. Frankly, I'm tired of arguing the same shit every day.
It is now 4:35 a.m. PST 2/27/09 at the time I'm writing this. I'll come back to this section on the 29th of March ( exactly 30 days from today ).
Until then, oh mighty Darkfallers, I shall not impose my treacherous "hater" views upon you.
As my last post in this section for awhile, I'd like to leave you with a few thoughts.
First, I'd like to say that, in my opinion, Tasos and Aventurine deserve to go belly up. I have no sympathy or charity for amateurish idiots who take advantage of gamers willing to accept anything just to have their type of game.
Secondly, although I may not have made this clear over my many posts in this forum section, I wish you the fans the best. If Darkfall manages to be the game you have waited for and Aventurine gets their collective heads out of their asses to make it so, then so be it.
I harbor no ill will toward the fans ( or fanbots ) of Darkfall. I really harbor no ill will toward the game itself. My main beef has always been the developers who have gone out of ther way, it would seem, to appear to be of the same ilk as other scandalous developers of the past.
And Tasos is a pompous, arrogant asshole. But that's just my opinion. And really, I'm hardly the "humble" personality myself.
You may now feel free to hurl as many insults and degradations my way as you see fit. I shall not retaliate. Honestly, I've had enough bans to last me awhile.

This company and their spin doctors are an absolute disgrace to gaming. It is about time some sort of QA entity got involved and stopped the likes of these people from trading, and taking money under false pretences.

In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

I still think they'd be best to just postpone the Launch and re-open up Beta. Fix the game-breaking problems and get billing working. Then Re-Launch and see if it goes better then.
Anyway... hopefully the game comes back online soon.
Wow. A troll that can form complete sentences. Darkfall is a great game. Maybe when you come back in March you should pick up the game. Although you may like it so much that it could severley curtail your MMORPG posting output.

I love the game itself. I haven't had this much fun in years (while i was in beta). I agree completely about the devs. They really dropped the ball on launch.

After getting banned off that forum because I had nothing else to do but troll fanbois and speak negatively about the things they had put in ( They hadn't fixed a problem with the accounts that several others were having and I wouldn't be surprised if they still haven't fixed them now ) since they hadn't even fixed several problems with the game and were repeatedly adding more problems because they weren't listening to people and were doing the thing EVERY developer is guilty of doing of catering to their own personal little elitist fanboi crowd.
I will say this as someone who was a genuine fan of the game and its concept, I was not one of the ones who were trolling MMORPG.com though I admit I despise the staff in particular as they banned me for saying "In my opinion WoW is a load of garbage" which is perfectly within the ToS. I was the one who was trolling the fanbois with the rest of you even on their own forums, in fact I got suspended several times and eventually perma-banned in beta when I just couldn't be bothered anymore since they weren't fixing issues that were actually preventing people from playing or logging into the game.
There were others as well who were genuine fans of the game and they all just pretty much slipped away quietly when they realized like me this game was going the way of Pre-Cu SWG or UO, frankly I don't think I need to do anything to butcher Aventurines reputation because they've already done it themselves like with EA, providing lazy and half-assed bug fixes and balance fixes.
This game could have EASILY been saved with a month or two months work but instead they are pushing for release where they have catered to the gear hungry potion-spamming crowd who think its skillful to hit an ability button and dance around like a hyperactive kitten while using the biggest weapon because they haven't properly got the speed and distancing corrected yet.
While I think you are idiots for thinking that this game is vaporware and always have ( Lets face it guys the game DOES exist in some form or other ) I think you should give them every bit of hell as any other publisher company would.
Why? Because its independent companies like this that ruin chances for other independent companies to come along because of the lack of trust that players have, I despise this industry as it is currently, not just the MMO part of it. I was honestly expecting something along the lines of Age of Chivalry ( great game for those who don't know it, highly recommended ) where you really do have four way directional combat absolute fun when going up against other players and its incredibly well balanced especially when it comes to Friendly Fire because weapons act just how you expect them to though they could use some tweaking.
Fanbois will never stop smothering themselves with the chloroform, the real fans have already left and are looking for something better.

you pretty much only get rank + by posting positive and kissing butt around here it seems...cause anyone who is even remotely critical of anything, gets their stars dropped like a ton of bricks. I lost all mine during the AoC fiasco.

All I can say since I already played the game... I myself actually can't wait to get the servers back up and I still dont regret in a bit giving them my preorder money to get a bit back of all the hard work within the last 8 years - since before I just thought they would produce vaporware... but actually they really managed to finish a MMORPG (we are not talking of a simple program here) with only a handful of a team starting.
For me they are still an amazing company..., they maybe lack on the communication part, and rushed things too fast nowm but still they pulled it off - so kudos to them.
I know I know I am just a fanboi now ... sorry... but that all I have to say to this
- cyu in 30 days, when we finally play the game I guess...
