Don't listen to it unless you like being depressed.

When I sing it makes me want to kill myself.... so I don't.

Depressing how so? Depressing to listen to? I have heard much more depressing songs, particularly Japanese Songs in the last decade have been able to achieve some descent qualities of emotion.
Actually, there is something about 80s songs like this one that get me pumped up like I need to go out and risk my life to save the girl and fight some evil.
You want depressing or sad? Try this John Mayer song:
Can be sad as well. Others you love move on while you remain and can't move on yourself. (The movie Highlander, where this song is played also, complements this song)
Not being able to do anything, and knowing you couldn't/too weak to change the outcome, is what lets me believe the "Aeris Dies video" linked in the posts above is the saddest video of all.
I still say the one I posted by Billy Holiday is the most depressing Mainly due to the fact that it was banned in some Countries (UK was one i believe) because people were killing themselves after listening to it. Nothing worse than a Gloomy Sunday.
But generally even the most uplifting song for one can be the most depressing for another especially if there are "events" within your life surrounding the song.
Thanks T

Hm, not the saddest song i've heard, but it is a good one.
But I guess that varies with everyone's personal tastes
Only thing I can complain about is the singer's hair.
Considered to be probably the most depressing song ever written. This version is probably the best.

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a robot foot stomping on a human face -- forever."
I remember watching this as a kid when it first came out on MTV (as a music video); they liked to use this song a lot in movies and stuff as well.
It makes me depressed, because I remember how awesome the 80's were.
