Don't care, as long the president's name does not involve the word Bush.

    Can he fix the country?

If he plays his cards right, I think he can make a big difference.

Do you agree with his idea and plans?

                 So far...yea.

Do you think Mcain would have been better?

                 Maybe...maybe not. Who knows.

What do you think of the recent crash in the stock market and the loss of 600,000 jobs in February?

Bummer, loss of jobs causes endless problems.

The people who voted for him made the biggest mistake in their life.  Look what is happening.  Everytime he opens his mouth, the stocks drop.

I thought Obama was a liar in his campaign talking about how he is going to be bi-partisan and budget conscience.  He has shown neither since he took his presidency.  I don't think he will fix this country with his current approach.  It has failed numerous times in the past in this country and others.  I don't agree with his idea or plans on what will fix the economy.  I think he is actually a hypocrite for inticing fear to get leverage on voters in the economy.  I think McCain would have been better on the economy because he wanted to approach the economic crisis with a axe rather then a scalpel.  Its exactly what the country needs right now.  I think the crash is a direct result of insecurities with Obama's economic and budget plans.

Can he fix the country? No, only a depression can, which is needed, it's the cure. I follow Peter Shiff's analogy of a recession being the solution and not the problem.

Do you agree with his idea and plans? I agree with some, I agree with his clean energy policy and I agree with his foreign policy. I don't agree with bailing out failed institutions like the auto industry and I don't agree with lowering taxes so much, I also believe in better border patrol.

Do you think Mcain would have been better? Not at all. Republican leaders have increased the deficit each year while under Clinton the US had a surplus.

What do you think of the recent crash in the stock market and the loss of 600,000 jobs in February? This was bound to happen with any president, I think it's the result of overspending, a huge deficit and insecure companies.

He's a dumbass and people who say "At least it isn't Bush" is even more stupid because they fail to see what is happening before their very eyes instead snickering at the past.

    Can he fix the country?

No. The man only has 350 some days of political experience. He doesn't know what the hell he's doing. He just stands there with that big ass goofy smile and say "YES WE CAN" while the Dow tanks over his stupid actions. With that in mind I certainly hopes someone kicks his common sense ass so he can start fixing the country versus ruining it even more.

Do you agree with his idea and plans?

    Absolutely not.

Do you think Mcain would have been better?

    Nope.

Obama doesn't see it. According to the White House Press Secretary "Obama doesn't press himself with WallStreet matters."

And I thought their where a bunch post about bush,,but Obama has him beat by far.So many different people  so many different post... its a testimony to his failed approach to the mess where in.

Capital gains tax...cap and trade tax..buy American clause in the bill,it just goes on and on.

And his is putting forward another plan or bail out, this one is for personal lending.

Grant it..its kinda late for the Republicans to grow a back bone but they did hold their own and vote against the bail outs,so to say it would be the same with MC Cain... is silly.Their is one thing for sure, he wouldn't be negotiating with Russia over the missile shield. It would appear Obama is afraid of confronting the men in - robes on his own.Even thought the missile shield being up and running would protect him politically against  a rogue attack. He and his party are more interested about what the rest of the world thinks instead of protecting our friends in the UK and and us here at home. Its mostly for Europe tho.

With revenues down for the foreseeable future it going to be near impossible to keep all these programs alive.

    Exactly!!

Point is this was going to happen anyway what with all that economic dead weight and all those credit holes in most if not all of the worlds banks.

I still proudly display my Obama Bumper Sticker on the rear of my car in the only state that Obama carried absolutely no counties.

Great job so far and the future looks even better.

Monica Crowley said it best about Obama in that he says things in a way that people can fit in whatever they want in what he says.
I like when people give their opinion and I give mine. If there's a synthesis that forms from that mixing then all the more power. I'd rather not be trapped into fitting my own expectations through a false opening.
I think if left unchecked he can become the US version of Hitler. The achiever/successful have been successfully demonized but does not yet match the atrocity of the Nazi hate against Jews. (that spread into more than Jews)

    Can he fix the country?

No because he won't listen to alternative thought.

(McCain's compromise of halting spending if sign of economic resurgence)

He's too fixated on the left for now.

Do you agree with his idea and plans?

The only thing I agree with is the pursuit of alternative energy. That's a noble goal. I wish he'd take McCain's suggestion of nuclear energy too.
As an aside I think it's disgustingly un-American to reduce tax breaks on those giving to charity. It's all a bid for the goverment to take control on who gives what instead of a free approach. I'm sorry if the children are going to suffer through this. I pray not.

Do you think Mcain would have been better?

McCain was the lesser of two evils. I'd rather do all possible to prevent a spreading of any amont of evil if possible. So better by a little yes but not satisfactory.

What do you think of the recent crash in the stock market and the loss of 600,000 jobs in February?

Further evidence goverment interference will not work. Let things bottom out so we have a "true low" to value a high/low history of current economics.

*This is not directed at you but towards the thought*
Today's racism is often a fabrication of the left to dismiss thought. They then don't have to address the debate at hand if the opposition is silenced in a fascist manner.
These are the roadblocks to race relations. Far left individuals.

Political correctness is another roadblock.  It can inccur jealousy and hatred.  Whoever performs the best should win.  The loser should adapt and search within for another day.  They can be better for it.

Its really far too early to tell he has only been in the job for a short while but if you twist my arm on this id say he is a very Charismatic leader and his presentation skills are very good to which makes it hard to judge the man behind the smile.

    Can he fix the country?

Not on his own no personally tho i feel that America is in for some hard times ahead, but whether America will recover under his presidency well......maybee it really depends on how big a slump we get dont it?

Do you agree with his idea and plans?

Not 100%, thing with throwing money at a problem is that a lot of that money just gets sucked into a credit black hole. What he needs to do is get the banks to start lending to each other again then perhaps things will begin to ease a bit. In the end tho Obama is between a rock and a hard place right now and no matter what he does things will get worse before they get better.

Do you think Mcain would have been better?

If your refering to managing the finance crisis then No he would be no better because no matter what is done right now things will continue to get worse because of the big credit holes in the market. Stock amrket crashing and wide ranging job losses is just signs that the economy is shrinking after suddenly losing a LOT of virtuall credit tied into Mortgages.

What do you think of the recent crash in the stock market and the loss of 600,000 jobs in February?

I think its the economy shedding off dead weight as there is no longer as much credit around as there was thanks to the greedy banks who thought they were making easy money with worthless sub-prime mortgages. Such a thing is bound to affect the stock markets and by extension cause jobs to be lost.
