Concered about some of you people (suspects).

As forum ninja I'm normally the reader than the poster these days, but in this new year with MMORPG.com off-topic. Are some of you ok? Do some of you need a hug or something? Are you new members ok? It's just weird how some of you act. I have not seen these much attention grabbers in a long time, and back then I was the major story teller of the forums.

What's going on here? There are a lot of suspects lurking around now.

    We have more forum whores now than we did back in the day...it's sort of annoying, and our debates on atheism versus theism have deteriorated in both style and substance...mostly because of the people posting in them, but also partly (at least from MY perspective) because some people are just debated out on those subjects...We have more political threads than ever, which is to be expected, but in this forum's climate it's hard to engage in a rational debate with people...Most seem to want to argue with rhetoric and emotions rather than facts, which is bothersome to me.

    Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

    Frodus drives by with a little attitude...Gettin tried of always waitng on new mmorpg to come out only to have his hopes smashed..The drive by poster has struck yet again.

    Trade in material assumptions for spiritual facts and make permanent progress.

    It's also not easy to bump up relevant or good threads here. Most forums have a bigger amount of threads on one page so you can bump the good threads.

    I don't know, but I feel there's a lot of trash posts atm. I really don't mind a trash or silly post. But not a whole page full of them. And toning down on the politics/religion arguments would be cool.

    There are more trash posts by a single user on the first page than useful posts in the first 10. I'm not going to give you a hint as to the forumwhore's name, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out.

    I agree with the OP's topic and to highlight this i just seen one where the subject is how to get rid of the Minoratys in America [it also uses rascist terms which i wont type here].

    While it doesn't show an edit, it has been cleaned up.  The thread title was more offensive than it is now.

    my posting fluctuates with how interesting threads are. If they are garbage and if i feel it's been discussed a dozen times before, i ignore it. This is probably why i have probably made alot fewer posts in the past week

    I agree with some of you. I do agree with you Draenor, I usually just read and not post in those topics, because there is always a handfull who shakes them up.

    That's not really true.  We've always had people with lousy debating skills on this forum.  We've always had a large amount of forum whores.  I will agree however, that the new forum whores post too often, are of a poorer writing quality, and choose uninteresting topics.

    I will also say that it's becoming a trend for OPs to ignore the strong counterpoint posts and only respond to the weaker posts.

    Infact, it's at the point now where I'm questioning the validity of the threads themselves and not even the threads content.

    As a regular lurker of the OT forum I have grown sick and tired of the wave of political threads. Seriously we get it that you don't like Obama, I didn't vote for him myself but enough already. There are other things to talk about besides politics, religeon and homosexuality and that seems to be the majority of threads started these days.

    You know Riki, there was a time when I found your posts way over the top and I did not really care for them.

    But you are right, I have recently thought, "were the hell is Riki when you need him?"

    I guess some things just grow on you.

    You do not miss the cow until the stall is empty and all that..

    Political and religious threads have destroyed this board. Granted, I have fallen prey to take part, but, nevertheless, it's destroyed constructive conversation. We keep going around in circles with the same topics over and over again. As tval said above, I simply begin to ignore them.

    Most know my views - I am a fiscal conservative, I am a social conservative, I am pro-life, I am a Deist and I do not, and never will, support Obama. In short, that takes care of my political and religious ideals. Understand you, speaking generally, of course, will not change my principles and I will not change yours. We have that understanding.

    Join in the boycott of political and religious threads. Let them live, and die, through the OP.

    Anybody else noticed how Riki's spelling and grammar improved dramatically over the past couple years? Back in the day there would always be more than a few spelling errors in his posts, but now I can't find them anymore.

    It kind of reminds me when I had taken a look at my highschool/elementary papers and noticed that there was a huge spike in literacy around my junior/senior year.

     

    This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

    LOL, well heh I mean I have grown up. 21 now and I joined mmorpg.com in 2003 or 2004.  I think when you hit that real world thing...it uhh changes you? Well it's funny you brought that up man. I remember your responces to my crazy story-telling topics back in the day. I have thought about bring back that Rikimaru's Words of Wisdom thing. Might do it next week.

    Hopefully, i'm not acting weird. Although some people are making a website on me and writing about me so they can do a study. They're being stupid. So I guess you could say I am one of those people, but really, i'm natural, just more PRO.
