How many subscribers will there be?

The conservative figures are 150,000,000- 200,000,000 people will be a part of MMOGULS. These subscriptions will come through Stargate Worlds®, the other 6 MMO games currently under development, and the 3D Social Network.

OK conservative figures HAHAHAHA

I want what these guys are smoking lol

I bet anyone else reading this would be almost peeing themselves with laughter

They're delusional, I like the term "Retail Orphans" used to describe people like us that just buy the game through a normal retail outlet. It seems someone in Utah has come a bit too close to Gary Whiting and caught MMOGULs fever!

    These folks are certainly delusional...

For example, “Age of Conan,” an online game released a few months ago, had 1.5 million online subscribers in the first month.

Huh? Isn't AoC bombing? And I thought FunCom said 700K? And then I find this analysis of that 700K, they really only had 70K subscribers. I wonder what it's like now?

For the sake of argument, let’s say Stargate Worlds® bombed and only got 1 million subscribers rather than the 150-200 million projected subscribers. How much money would you make?

LOL, 10-20x the number of subscribers of WoW? I think SGW will be lucky to get 200K, and my thinking is that it will struggle to break 100K. There are less than 55K forum subscribers currently. If you run the numbers, it suggests that the 5,000th Platinum member would have a "team" of only 19 people, and thus earn 360 bonus points/month, or $36/month.

This still seems high, but *shrug*

I think theyt were projecting around 200 million for all their "Social Network At Play" games or SNAP as they put it. Just that none of those games actually exist in the here and now including their flagship game SGW.

Though I agree SGW would do well to sell 200k units but would maintain maybe 50k subs a few months after launch. Added to that you'd have MMOGULs scumbags preying upon gamers like cattle to the slaughter, harrassing them into their downlines. It would destroy the population of any MMORPG.

They should make SGW F2P with a cash shop if MMOGULs members will be allowed to recruit suckers ingame.

If I recall, Facebook has about 120 million users, from what their press release says. Building a network of gamers that is larger than it seems to be a pipe dream, at least coming out of the box...

There's also the figures that mmogchart.com had from last year, which makes it hard to see that there are more than 20 million MMOG subscribers/players worldwide.
