for money to pay my cell phone bill, WoW subscription and buy an Iphone. My friends shun me for it, and hell, even the guy i bought the Iphone from shunned me...

Yet, I feel NO remorse, and i don't really miss it at all...I can finally play wow again, enjoy it, write what i love and talk to people wherever i am when i have to make and take tech-support calls.

What is this that i am feeling....Joy of returning to an MMO? after playing halo 3 for 3 weeks straight with a lil CoD and L4d thrown in, i got sick of it all...

Seems like a good deal, unknown what your cell phone bill is, but knowing the Xbox 360 is cheaper then a Iphone you must have gotten a nice deal out of it.

    Have fun with WOW ......again......

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.

nah, i simply sold it to my cousin, who paid me about $250 for it. I Had 5 games, hard drive and it was only 3 weeks old....

I even bought a year of XBL for it. I just got bored playing it all by myself and over and over. I started out a level 6 on halo 3. The day i sold it, i was a level 50 in Lone Wolves, Team Slayer and Team Doubles....

I got really bored even more when the friends that told me to buy the game, decided that they didnt wanna play online with me at all simply cause they kept feeding me really stupid excuses.

What will you sell next when you run out of money?

  • AsboAsbo Member UncommonPosts: 812

Congratulations you have been able to make an important RL decission and at the very least you understand the value of your money and what it can buy for you. While gaming appears to have taken over many people lives, it is no substitute for RL and the trappings which it brings with it. Sounds to me you have come of age and deserve a pat on the back young sir/madam.

Once you are able to afford luxury items this is the right way to buy anything especially in our current economic climate, selling on goods rather than discarding them and managing your spare money is vital nowdays.

How is selling a game console to fuel his wow subscription and get himself a Iphone a important decision? Bills I can understand. I don't think owning a Xbox he upgraded 3 weeks ago to only turn around and sell it is in anyway showing he knows the value of money.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do... but I hope you can eventually get another one. I got a X360 a month ago, and it's a blast. I jam out to Guitar Hero on it, I kill zombies on it, and the streaming Netflix is just a Good Thing. Add in the Media Center Extender so I can listen to all the music on my hard drive, and it's pretty much the only entertainment device I need that requires electricity (and it will be if they ever port EQ2 to consoles...heh.).

Evil will always win, because Good is dumb.

Ehh... you could always buy another Xbox360 latrer on if you really want one.

Don't listen to your friends later on in life most of them wont mean jack.

Enjoy WoW, your phone and whatever else you got for it.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing

if one cannot afford a sub to wow, or maybe cut back on their cell phone bill, or get a better paying job. Because while selling your xbox today might seem like a good idea, what do you do when you run out of money again?

    Sale his Iphone.

Yeam I think you got the better end of the deal. Although you may miss out on Halo wars. I think Xbox and PS2 are in for several hard years ahead. Only Wii seems to be ok for now

You sold your Xbox360 4 days before the release of Resident Evil 5? All I can say is, I'm glad i'm not in your shoes right now.

Seriously, an Iphone? an Iphone!? just...wow.

  • Moaky07Moaky07 Member Posts: 2,096

I just sold my 360 recently as well, to my friend, for 100 bucks. I waited for them to be out a year before purhcasing it. It was 3 years old(never had ring of death), and had the 10G hard drive in it.

I took that 100 bucks, put 220 more bucks with it, and got a Xbox elite when Circuit City went out of business. Had I of just upgraded my hard drive, it would of run me 150 bucks alone.

So for my 70 bucks I got a system that is 3 years newer, 2 free games with purchaase, and most importantly I now have a HDMI capable unit.

    I was a happy camper :)

Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

    I bought a PS3 with 2 games for $100.00 dollars

One of my co workers needed the cash to pay his $800.00 DUI bill to get his license back, so he wanted to get rid of it ASAP.

This is the WORST advice I've ever heard....

RL friends are like an extra set of family you have....If you dont have any left You're going to really miss out on a lot of stuff...

Its like you're telling him WoW and all the materialistic stuff is better to live in than RL....

I feel sorry for you man....

    Hmmm, to buy an i-Phone?

Come on, you are stretching it.  Now if the OP was giving up an expensive service package and saving the money that he/she got from selling the X-Box 360, then I'd agree with you.

But trading in one luxury for another is hardly adjusting to the current economic climate (Which is the start of the Great Depression II.  "Milton Friedman Neoliberalism, ain't it great?")

    I feel your pain.

WOW, Xbox 360 and my iphone are my most important entertainment options. Luckily i do NOT have to choose between them.

    And COD5 is GREAT.

It's not COD5. It's not even the 5th entry in the series.

i am shocked and apalled by the amount of people who think that selling a game console is worse than paying my bills and starting on a more healthier lifestyle of BEING ACTIVE...

For one, i am a casual player. I only play it when i want, and then write articles for our favorite MMORPG website...

As for the Iphone, don't worry, i paid my bills BEFORE i used my leftover money for play...Trust me people, i have my priorities straight.

I would get sick of my 360 too if all I did was cycle between 3 FPS games.

Also, if you had to sell your 360 just to pay your phone bill... man you have waaay more important things to worry about than weighing the pro's and con's of selling that 360. iphone is an unnecessary luxury item, why would you buy one if you have trouble keeping payments on that $15 a month WoW account? I know i'm sounding like a douchenozzle, but based on this alone i'm willing to bet i've got more money in my wallet than you do in your bank account.
