My apologies for poo-pooing "dumbing down" concerns

This isn't about the quest helper but it still applies...

I deleted my lowest level toon (17 minstrel) to roll another one to experience the newbie zone changes with Book 7, and holy crap it is LOL easy now.  The mobs in the newbie areas have had their HP halved or more, including signature mobs.  With that and the buff minstrels got, I had a few fights with 3 light blue con goblins that would have been dicey but I would have survived before changes, that I won without breaking a sweat or dropping below 75% health without even healing in the middle of the fight.  I haven't played on any of my 21-28 toons yet, so I hope the nerfing was just the starter zones.

One thing I noticed is apparently falling damage is less forgiving now as I jumped off the that cliff where you go to get the sandstone and gypsum west of Thorin's just to save time and not have to fight a bunch of goblins going back down (like I always did) and DIED.  I guess lesson learned and I'll reroll again so I can get "undying" like the rest of my toons hehe.  I'll certainly think before I jump off anything in the future now.

I do enjoy some of the changes.  The fall damage change, while I said "WTF?!?" when it happened, was probably for the best.  There's much less pointless running back in forth for the quests in the starter areas, and I'm looking forward to logging in and getting 1 more XP on each of my other toons to see how many levels I gained hehe.  I understand some people are piseed about that, but the way I look at it is I'm still going to do all those quests already in my log, I'll just get less XP for the kills and quests then I would have before.
