JUST a pvp game?

So for those who have played this game I was wondering, is there actually going to be anything else to do besides PVP? I have found every PVP game i play lack depth and dumbs down most other areas of a MMO to satisify the "OMG PWN FACE" cesspool of gamer, you know those that might enjoy out of that stupid piece of crap "Nut shot" ad constantly playing here.
Warhammer did it, RVR there is ok ... everything else about the game just absolutely blows though. is this how aion is going to be and is this the new standard in MMOs? the lets just make a giant frag fest so we can get cash from the A.D.D. FPS players!
is crafting good, is questing fun and exciting, is there any dungeon crawls any raids at all, hell is there anything else to do except PVP, because i can tell you first hand PVP isn't going to happen 24/7 and in those times is there anything that will keep me logged in game?
and before you l33t PVPers out there say "you're just a carebear" i played darktide (i probably killed you there) i played shadowbane I played EQ1 both on a blue and red server. I like PVP its just not the only thing i want to do in a MMORPG.

If it is PVP heavy with little else the game will not be around long. You are correct that games need a balance. Look at what succeeds and what doesnt. Hell LOTRO has less PVP than any other MMO ive played and it is doing quite well, which shows me that most players are not looking for hard core PVP. WAR is nearly dead. Any game that seeks only to appease the rabid fans of PVP will fail as has been the case thus far. While most agree that we dont need a WOW killer to be happy the game makers do want to make as much money as possible and sooner or later they are gonna catch on that pvp and nothing else doesnt pay the bills. Love it or hate it WOW has succeeded due to mutiple ways to play the game.
It's hard to answer all that without being level 50 to know how deep the game is...tho from my point of view this is what i saw until level 20's:
I haven't crafted, so i don't really know how it is, but you get materials for crafting from killing mobs and gathering resources, there are like 6 crafting jobs to choose i believe.
Quests are ok, kill this mob and bring me this, gather that and bring it to me...stuff like that, and at lowers lvls quests are a good way to level up, however at higher levels i heard you have to grind more than a 70-80% each level.
And PvP, from my point of view, the game will have pretty much the PvP WoW had in terms of Faction vs Faction, regardless of PvP features such as arenas or coliseum, PvP will be mainly killing the other faction anytime you see them by Abyss so you gain points to buy gear.
About dungeons, i haven't seen any so far, and i guess it will be mainly Raid bosses like in L2 (just my though).
The game feels great, i don't know how many PvP features and PvE it has but it will be a good mmorpg, however i won't play it...it doesn't offer anything new besides "wings" so i rather wait for something innovative and different.
so far ,it's hard to say.
I ve got to lvl 15, up to now, Aion goes well. I'm wondering if there's plenty of quests for us to do after we get to higher lvl , such as lvl60+
I got my sewing to lv99 I must say crafting is more fun that in any other mmo I played. This is because there's a success/fail meter it kinda makes crafting exciting. Also it's not tedious and boring to gather and craft. It can be pretty fun and also rewarding.
Now about PvE. It's quite challenging for a solo assassin. Mobs are pretty hard and a single mob can almost kill you. I died like 40 times in 14 levels. I'd say it's a good way to train yourself and your skills for later PvP. Not sure if they'll make mobs more easy for our version. I hope not because having it easy is no good.
I haven't played the game at all, but on paper Aion is a PvP/PvE hybrid with all the usual features of both PvP and PvE, so yes raids, bosses, storyline, side quests and sieges, competition ect...

not jumping on any bandwagon I wont touch another POS PVP game unless it offers something else, thats why i ask if this is "JUST a PVP game" then screw it let it fail like so many other fail PVP MMO out there. Call me arrogant all you want, just tired of these dumbed down chunks of shit that every game company is crapping out only to have the fanbois shine up and call them the best game ever!!
You have been replied that this game is not just a pvp game, yet you come ranting claiming this is shit because it's just a pvp game.

I never claimed aion is shit, i claimed other "just PVP games" are shit. mostly because the ignorant cesspool of PVPers won't allow it to be something great

Well, the game does have PvP, players who look to kill others will have their share in Aion, does this rule out PvE? No.
I think we are just too spoiled if we think that a game can't have the best of both worlds. It looks like the eternal good graphics=bad gameplay stereotype.
thats what i want is the best of both worlds, a good intense PVP side as well as a solid, fun, strategic PVE side. however i have read to many posts on different forum where someone says "hey does this game have good dungeons?" some nitwit responds "who cares this is a PVP game if you want good dungeons go play WoW".
Unfortunately I played WAR where PVP is all the game has to offer, everything else (Soloing, Grouping and crafting) just sucks. If you weren't PVPing you might as well not even play the game.
if this game gives me the best of both worlds I'll be playing WAR ... which stands for Waiting on Aions Release
It does have good dungeons, in another thread there was someone asking about the instanced dungeons and I replied, plus, there are a lot of elite areas to hunt in with their quests and what not, but in open world.
There's raiding, from party raids to legion raids, some require more strategy than others, those raids are rewarding.
2 mobs mean trouble, so the PvE requires a certain degree of attention span.
Quests are your typical bring this here, talk with that guy, kill 8 wolves, missions have a different approach and are a step into the right direction though. The storyline seems to be pretty good from what I've read (Im level 50 and leveled with Korean text only, no english patch back then, so I don't know).
Is this game's PvE better than WoW's? Probably not yet, probably WoW or EQ are good PvE games that have been for so long out there that they have taken it to the next level, but Aion seems to perform pretty well on PvE, and also on PvP, and it definetly has the potential to beat those previously named games, something I didn't find in those games you've mentioned.
