Am I the only one that is worries that Wolverine looks like it will suck badly?

I'm a big fan of the comics, character, heck even the old Xmen movies (first one) But from what I see, wolverine just looks like a huge number of senseless fight sequences strung together with little or no plot to make sense of. Also, too many characters to keep track of (why cant it be only a small cast?) Am I alone? I know a lot of people have seen it via download. Still, I prefer to wait and see it on the big screen. Any thoughts from those who've watched it already?

I don't think it will be the best summer film, but it won't be bad. From what I have seen, it looks like a pretty obvious plot - the origin of Wolverine from his childhood to present. I am assuming he is part of the Canadian Weapons X group, Alpha Flight, in the movie. However, I noticed in the previews the soldiers are US, not Canadian - they kind of screwed up that one.

I am a big Wolverine fan myself. I never thought Hugh Jackman was the right choice. Based on the comic books, I'd imagine Wolverine way more badass looking, like squarefaced and rugged and Jackmann is way to "clean" looking. Wolverine has a complexity of character, that even in the comics takes a while to realize that he really isnt that "bad" and acutally a wise person in his own way. The movie isn't bad, but as any movie of course a short version. I though it was ok, but no killer movie. At some points it reveals nice what drives Wolverine, but not *too* complex. Expect something along the lines of the other X-Men movies.

What about Lion-O? He is slated to play him in the live-action Thundercats movie. Just curious.

Well My friend watched it over the internets and went on a 3 HOUR Tirade when we went over to his house... So I wont be seeing it till its on TV for free..

But God I wana see Gambit. He hardly talked about him so I have my hopes up there. But what they did to Poor Deadpool....

Too old looking Lion-o was supposed to be a teenager afterall.

  • I'm somewhat turned off to anything remotely X-men movie related after...you know, that abomination X-men 3. I have to be really quiet when I mention it, we don't talk about it here. It just....never happened, like the Dolph Lundgren Punisher or Highlander 2.
