He said choose your server wisely because of the fact that the game is very empty. All servers aside from maybe 2 have extreamly low populations and the others only have a "light to medium" population on peak hours.
Edit* - If you haven't played since almost release then your in for a much different game. But maybe you will like it better? i dunno, im not sure on why you quit so long ago in the first place. However, SOE released a very controversial patch that changed the game completely. If you really want to try the game again i suggest getting the free trial.
Sorry...should have clarified but was in the middle of something else when I happened to see your post.
There are more than 2 servers with active pops...more like 5-6. The rest I would avoid unless you don't mind the whole "I am Legend" scene or want to play with a buddy who is a masocist and stayed on a dying server...which does happen.
There are also several vehicles you can choose to get...some will take some time to obtain...a couple you will never be able to obtain because they never added the schematics...yet others you can purchase a "chance" to obtain them via the TCG Lottery system. And by purchase I mean RMT into SOE's coffers.
Cool, I may give it a whirl. Have you got a link to a page with the server pops on? Looking around people are talking about Starsider as a good one.
Stick with Starsider...if you have not played for a long time and remember your account login/pass you probably have free time banked up...I would not pay until you complete your free time or do a trial account. It really is not the same game as it was. I f you enjoy PvP do not expect to be able to until you reach lvl 90. Trying will just frustrate you.

Are Empire frowned upon then? I only ever played the game just after release...
