LOL, there were many illegal locker "libraries" well, more like rental stores, in school but they contained playboys, hustlers, porn movies, and anarchist cookbooks... I guarantee you they did more business than this guy . lol

Im really trying to figure out why catcher in the rye got banned, from a lot of religious standpoints i can see dante's works.
But my problem is i have a first edition harvard classics set, leather bound very nice(people should really know what there relatives things are worth before they have estate sales)
The point being that the mythos harvard put outs about these books is this is every essential book for an educate man to read, and a lot of the books on that list are in this set. This set is also 100 years old so and newer editions still contain a lot of the same books.
So is this school completely turning its back on classical literature?

A school is supressing literature and information from the youth and thats wrong in many ways, in a place where you should learn they are going to stop you from reading certain material?!? thats rediculous. This technique was used 500 years ago during the dark ages. They are doing the same thing now, if the kids read these books im guessing the school feels they will start to question theyre faith or learn something the school wants to keep secret. I believe all infromation should be free and readily avaiable, people should learn to make their own judgements on topics not listen to what other people tell them without questioning it. Thats why i support him, not because he just feels like renting out books but because hes providing information to other students and with knowledge comes power. Hes not just another sheep, and i think thats one of the best qualities someone could posses: the ability to question and think for yourself.
