Ok we all know what has happened in the last few days over at AS but today I cant believe how bad it has got so fast.
Posters are openly trying to sell event keys on the site with no mod's stopping it.
Other posters are wanting posters to insult each other(flame)with some posters basically encourgeing them to do it with the prize an event key for the best flamer.
Also in other threads ppl just basically attacking other posters and nothing being done about it,then a mod closes a thread about 20k members on AS as there was already a thread about it...wtf what about all the other crap that has started over there?
Sorry but this once good site is heading to the bin,Have never seen a forum goto the toliet so quickly and so many self important idiots take it over,

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

I wouldn't worry about it, there are tons of AION fan sites. They go up and down in population all the time.

Like I said I aint no saint and enjoy a good laugh but with this pic and the comments before and after my post I really begin to wonder about some ppl and why this forum allows this.

I blame Curse/NC for the civil forum insurrections
Actually I don't really know what is going on there. I mean I heard that admin got canned and then some kind of cover up or something.
Could someone summarize the crazienss?
Guy who made the site gets canned for doing what NCSoft won't, tell us stuff. He goes and makes a new site www.aionblah.com most of the active members follow after a non-announcement which was basicly a poke in the eye with a dull stick from the new overlords.
The new overlords then have 2 beta giveaways for a total of 300 beta keys because they have such great relations with NCSoft. A day or so later MMORPG.com gives away 10K by simply clicking on a link, rather than making people jump through hoops.
I call it Karma.

How can people be so naive about selling something they won? Besides, anyone with any common sense would just Preorder the game for the beta key instead of buying it from those guys . Basically paying 5 bucks for it

I also see a lot of people giving away there extra keys for free. As a matter of fact I have 2 keys (one from CE and one from a giveaway). I plan to give my spare to a friend of mine.

Like I said in another topic, I wouldn't give aionsource 10k keys. 300 is good enough. MMORPG.com is the source of news to all mmorpg players so id rather give 10k to the soruce than the fansite who is going to end up buying or preordering anyway. Not only that if the admin did something wrong and he knew it, he gets what he deserves and making another site just shows he wants that attention and love again. All he can do now is build up off known infomation which is no different than another fan site and not as good as aionsource.
People are crying over spilled milk on aionsource. 1 person can't just make a Gigantic drop in the moral of the community. Once the game goes live, he will just be a memory unless he stays and support as a regular member on the site. Also I'd never make people jump hoops for a beta key and that was so silly of them instead of doing something fair like making a drawing.

And the fact that on AionBlah, he has implied that he was responsible for the brief blip on Aionsource (forums went down) as something of a "parting gift" does not lend credence to him as someone who was "shafted" unfairly.
Mark didn't get canned because of leaks, just the drop in the bucket. Feel free not to believe but that's what it is and Mark should have been prepared.
The source is nuts right now so sure there's going to be a lot of crap going on. The flaming thread has been closed and frowned upon by Curse. I didn't see anyone selling keys unless I missed those, a sense of humor is also required at the source, is it possible you mistook people pretending to sell keys as the real deal?
Also the Source suffered from the same immaturity and flames infestation long and I mean long before Mark was let go. So let's not use that as an excuse.

You did notice that I said "he has implied," correct? I did not say that he did it, I was giving him no power but was stating that he doesn't seem like the upstanding citizen to me. He mentioned wondering if Curse ever figured out what he did to the site, which does not sound benevolent.

As for Mark and aionblah ect. people will beleive what they want to believe. I just know that someone called netcurse reported they were going to move the site to new servers over night, but due to the traffic the site recieved for their *cough competition *cough, they moved it up and did it in the middle of the day.
