Because it includes all expansions and the main game dear. Its not expensive. Most games are at least $40 and don't include nearly as much content.
Chill out. For gods sakes, the Sims 3 is $50, $70 if you want the collector's edition. Fallout 3 is $50 online. The only game that cheap is LOTRO and that probably reflects on how they are losing players more than anything else. Even World of Warcraft to buy every expansion is $40 and those don't include all the other expansions.

Seriously, you are way overreacting.
As someone else stated "already have the other expansions".
If you owned WoW and had TBC... when wotlk came out you spent $29.99.
SOE used to sell expansions for *gasp* $29.99 and then they had a more expensive "all in one" for new players.
There is no option for current players when TSO came out but to pay for the "all in one". Now I don't think I ever posted here about the price... Yet if you can't see the problem with your logic then I don't think I could ever make a point you'd understand.
For the price of ALL expansions its not a bad price.
If you already own ALL previous expansions why would you want to pay for them again?
Why is there not an option to buy "this expansion" or "all in one" based on actual consumer needs?
oh and yet it would only be like a $10 difference... but it should be obvious how it might appear to consumers... Most people I actually know who play EQ2 didn't buy TSO... because they didn't want to pay for things they already owned... again.
I bought it.... but from a consumer perspective... I don't see why I am paying for "all in one" when all I need is "expansion alone".

lol I was just bitching why they didn't have just the expansion for sale, more or less, you're taking it the wrong way.
Another question, does the "All-in-one" deal come with a free month for newly created accounts or even old accounts?
Receive a complimentary digital copy of the game when you convert your trial account to a paid monthly subscription of EQII. The Rise of Kunark starter pack includes four (4) expansion packs and three (3) adventure packs.
EDIT:
I reread the thread
you already stated you had access to all content but the latest expansion
buy the Retail box if you can, the free mount only comes with the box version
been a looong time since i posted here lol. I just reactivated my accoun to day after 2 years. is there even any point in buying shadow odesy before lvl 70.
can buy ROK for 20.00 from Steam and get a free month store.steampowered.com/app/24110/ includes everything but the lastest expansion -- which is primarily level 75+ content anyhow

I do not think so - the expansion is primarily for level 75+
If you purchase the game thru Steam do you have to activate the key immediately. I want to take advantage of the sale but have two weeks left on my AOC account. If anyone can answer I would greatly appreciate it.

you can wait
can buy now before the sale is over but can use the game registration number later in the future
You must make a new station account to get the free month, does not work with any account you used for eq2 no matter how old and even if you used a free trial. Must be new.

Read it carefully next time.

Lets see Shadow Odyessy $34.00 for the whole game including all expansions and adventure packs.
Wow $39.99 for The Wrath of the Lich King. Just an expansion.
Darkfall $53.00-$57.00 for a digital download, for half a game. Based on exchange rate.
Seems like a deal to me.
Already have the other expansions and adventure packs lol

the Retail price for WOTLK is 39.99
I was given no discount for owning previous WOW games
regarding getting a free month,
only applies to new accounts -- most mmos have the same restriction
