After a german gaming paper WO wasn't stopped.
It is still being developed without help from GW.

    *Bump for good news*

    The newest issue of PC Gamer magazine has a Q&A with Climax CEO Karl Jeffrey who states that development of their MMORPG Warhammer Online is still continuing at the UK developer. The game, however, will no longer have any financial support from Warhammer's owners Games Workshop, who pulled their formal participation from the game earlier this summer. According to the interview, Jeffrey says that Games Workshop continues to support Climax's work on the game in a non-monetary way. A release date for the game is still up in the air but Jeffrey states in the interview that they are hoping to launch "approximately 18 months from now".
