2003 and I'm still around altho I don't post here as often as I would like to. I was really active in the 2006-2008 period but have been tapering off lately.
Why? Well there are a lot more mmo and gaming portals now compared to 2-3 years ago. Also as we grow older the time for games becomes shorter replaced by real life obligations such as jobs and starting a family. Also games seems to have evolve a lot and there's just simply not much that can be said that hasn't already been said years ago (if you haven't noticed a lot of threads are just a repeat of whatever we're discussing a couple of years ago as new users join us). But sure, I still post here occasionally about new events in games and such...
I signed up for this forum in 2003, but been playing MMO's since 1999. Used to always use the VNboards otherwise would of signed up sooner. I miss the golden age of MMO's tbh.
I been playing commercial mmos since 1996 (back in 1992 I was playing MUD). Played The Realm, Meridian 59, both 2D and 3D worlds. MMO hit mainstream in the 2002-2004 era. I remember MMORPG.com in the early days which is mostly comprises of the just forums for mmo hobbyist to hang out and talk about their favorite mmo games. It survived all these years due to the dedication of the staff and the users/fans of the site.
i wouldn't say im active, or that i have had a lot to contribute, but i did have a post deleted

Got you all beat i'm sorry to say. Hard to believe i'ts been 7 years since i started coming to this site.
Haha, wow. I never thought there were older accounts than mine (except the admin. He cheats.)
Kudos!
And yeah, seven years since i registered here. This site has come a long way (not saying it's good or bad) And it's my source of information and random rubbish. Atleast im lucky to not being one of those grumpy "vets" that lurks around.

I had an account back in 02, but I stopped coming to this site for years after registration so my 09 account is really more of an reincarnation. Mainly because I don't remember the user name/password, so it was easier to make a new one. ~_~
You know alot of us come from the UO/EQ era, we just didn't bother with MMORPG websites since we didn't really have as broad of a selection in the market as we do now .
PS: Now I never actually played past the basic EQ/UO trials back then lol, since I wasn't old enough to have my own credit card :P.

I didn't start playing MMO's until 2001, but for some reason it just never occurred to me that someone would create a generic website just for MMORPG games when game specific or fan sites existed.
It was years before I ran across a link or something to here and joined up.

Wow, I can't believe it's been that long. And the rest of you old-timers are right. Lots of changes over the years.
And I'm kind of in the same boat as the other quiet folk. I tend to avoid posting as randomly as some people and stick to posts I feel offer an opinion not already expressed 1000 times, or something I feel very strongly about. Although i'm sure I've made a couple stupid posts here and there.
Thank god for the random uber posters though. They keep the forums full!
I don't post often. Rather on the shy side. But I can say that I have logged in, read and kept up with everything almost daily for the last 5 years. Does that count as "active"? @_@
I started visiting the site in '02 but didn't create an account until '04 to enter some giveaway I think. I don't think I actually started posting for another few years.
Before then I was too busy playing games during any free time that I didn't bother visiting the forums. Now, that there isn't any game that really interests me. MMORPG.COM is what I do with my free time.

i guess this guy first join in 2002 but he abandoned his username and made another one. so his first username brags of being one of oldest member cause of the join date although super less post count.

Yup, that about nails it.

Flem wins, both on his date and actually, y'know, being active...
Active 02'r, but mostly quiet here (am I the oldest that's shown up so far?). I have plenty to say, but probably not anything you want to hear.
Definately beats me, makes me feel young again
